Despite some brief glitches, that top 6 keeps rolling along - Norwich/Brentford/Swansea/Reading/Watford/Bournemouth look a class above the rest. Getting in amongst that lot this season would be a huge task which looks beyond the others above us let alone ourselves.

Yet there are still 18/19 games to go and the potential points available to the chasers is obvious. One or two of that top 6 would really have to blow up to be caught. We're 11 points shy of Bournemouth in 6th and still to play them with a game in hand - that game is at Rotherham on Tuesday.

Although Mick would deny any ambition in that area, I'm sure right now he's got one eye on those above us rather than the strugglers below.

 

I'm sure you're right Sparks and if we were targeting anyone it would be the Cherries. They bumbled their way to a win yesterday against Brum who are dropping like a stone, despite Etheridge's heroics.

Woodgate was a stand in manager but they did nothing different. A couple more wins and he could get the job which would not please the faithful there. They see Lampard as their chosen one. Delusions of grandeur or what?

We are down there on the 24th and if we can continue our good, albeit short so far, run, we have a good chance of giving them a good run for their money.

Next up Cov at home, Luton away and then Preston home before we go to Bournemouth.

Great win for Brentford tonight. Nowhere near their impressive best but still get a 3-1 away victory. I hope they finish as champions now. They deserve it.

 

They’d be even further ahead had the ref properly disallowed that streaky goal by those down west.
