Problem with playing Crowley on the right is he naturally drifts inside to get involved so we lose the width .. would be happier with him in the middle with Honeyman and shove Slater or someone else out wide

 

Crowley is a tidy player but like Tuesday he wants too many touches. Our momentum fizzles out when he gets it on half way.

 

..... Or someone who can actually play that role?!!

 

It’s almost like this formation doesn’t suit these players..

 

In the absence of Whyte id look at Emmanuel in that role and sacrifice Slater tbf ..

 

think I'd take 3 passes in a row successfully completed as some sort of victory.

 

Cowley. Better.

 

Crowleys A very tidy footballer but the least likely person to fit in this system

 

This team could do with something like a Plan B for these sorts of scenarios, you know.

Wishful thinking that they'll lose all three.

Meanwhile, we look pretty **** at the moment. If they're playing 4-5-1 against our 4-3-3, then they're outnumbering us in midfield and attack. They'll take a point here, we've got to be better.
