Who said Gooners are sensitive? Oh, right - Gooners. Seriously, if you;re going to try and say the worst of Wenger's personality isn't rubbing off on you, don't do it in a manner that's exactly like Wenger when offered a handshake from a manager whose team just beat Arsenal. it underlines my point....
One of the problems with forums is that if you rise above things it goes completely unnoticed. However, if you rise to something you do get noticed and then get accused of either being aggressive/a wum/over sensitive etc etc. All fans do it. I don't agree that Wenger's personality (my thoughts on which are irrelevant here) has rubbed off on their fans. I know a lot of Arsenal fans in real life and they're all top people and they will critiscise his sportsmanship if they feel its deserved. But, back to the point, the gooners probably aren't over sensitive, the problem is that you just don't notice the people that choose to rise above whatever you said (again, i don't know what you said so i can't comment).
I know plenty, and they do get remarkably Wengerian when the team is being criticised for cheating, and try to deflect blame onto the opponents just like Wenger does. Similar can be said for how MUPLC fans can get remarkably Fergusonian when their team is criticised, and some Chelsea fans were quick to ape Mourinho (and, strangely, some still do - you sacked him, get over it) I did know a Spurs fan that Christian Gross' personality seemed to have rubbed off on - he was utterly useless at his job...
Well, better than than Pleat i suppose. Eeek. I think Jol must have rubbed off on me most, i'm overweight Also - Wengerian. Like it.
I get Wagnerian after a bit of hassle. I open a nice chilled bottle of my favourite white, put on a bit of Wagner, and I am away. Going "Wagner" is not as bad as you might think, my friends.

There’s a big difference between being competitive and being a bad loser. We all want to win when we play. If our sporting idols are liars and cheats we should be intelligent enough to separate the performance from the person. I have never quite understood why our most respected journalists have sat in front of Wenger for years whilst he insulted their intelligence, seeing nothing, but all knowing. They’re not all perfect by the way, Redknapp is on a friend gathering mission, he insults our intelligence in other ways but Wenger has become a figure of ridicule and as Arsenal see themselves as the ‘model club’ that’s ‘whiter than white’ I believe he damages your reputation more than you know.
We have sporting idols because they represent us and our causes/beliefs/choices. When they succeed so do we. I disagree with the belief that in this country we build people up just to knock them down. What we do in fact is get to know them better when they have been around for some time. Their bad characteristics and traits become known to us and then we give ‘just deserts’. Why Wenger? We could spend hours on all of the managers that have failings. SAF in my opinion is the worst culprit of them all, a real spiteful man. However I think that Wenger is in a different league of sorts. I love the way he conjures up the almost mythical performance when you lose. When you were winning, the ‘Arsenal bias’ media gave him huge slack. When the cups were rolling in, his bad manners and arrogance were never questioned. In part you have all helped create this monster. A man obsessed with an ideal that isn’t working. It's only natural for someone to defend their club. You can't condemn us for that. It’s a Tottenham – Arsenal thing, we reserve the right to hate
Wenger is by far and away the most miserable figure in English football. He is more miserable that Benitez during his last days at LFC. And, now, he cuts a comic, clown-like figure, because we all know exactly how he is going to react after a bad game. This is Wenger's modus operandi:- (a) never admit to seeing any cheating by a Goon player (b) always claim to see every incident where the ref didn't make a decision in AFC's favour (c) never admit that your players played badly (d) never give credit to Spurs for demolishing you (e) never admit that you and your team are in crisis (f) never shake hands with Clive Allen (g) kick the water bottle It's the predictability that makes Wenger such a clown
I'm sorry SNIAW, but this is clearly wrong. Managers celebrate late winning goals every week. They're always in the dugout when they do it. The number of times that opposition managers have reacted like Wenger did is countable on one hand. Most of those occasions would also be him!
HIAG are you obsessed with arsenal? You seem to have as many posts about us as you do about your own team lol.
You're seeing what you want to see. Pardew was pretty much as far away from Wenger as he could be, given that he has to stay within a certain area. Wenger overreacted, as usual. He's an exceptionally petty man, which casts a shadow over his considerable achievements. He's well respected and deservedly so, but he's not well liked. He has more bust ups with other managers than anyone else in the game and this is a profession that includes Neil Warnock within it's ranks. Frankly, he's just a bit childish. I imagine that he goes into a strop and trashes the board if he loses at Monopoly.
I don't think that's unreasonable. Anyway can you Gooners not keep coming over to our board just to argue with HIAG? He got banned from your board, presumably because you guys didn't want to keep arguing with him.
Is this thread not about us? lol, if you stop writing threads about us, then we won't comment on them.
