Only because he hasn't been caught. His public indecency in the area over a long period of time ( he's been here 8 years) should have made finding the culprit a police priority. Not connected at all but look how the police made the 'Millwall incident' at the KC a high profile investigation a few years ago, and not a punch was thrown. They even sent an investigation team down to London for two weeks and came back with sod all. For some reason this repeating offending in the same few streets of Hull wasn't taken seriously by the police. And it should have been.
Oh I agree they did **** all But I don’t think there was an 8 year history of it but over the previous months to the death of Libby
That's another point the police seem to have only investigated recent reports of indecency when they found items in his house. He was only on charges connected to the under wear and personal stuff he had stolen recently. They got him on nine charges, that's a mini crime way over a short period of time in one area. How many more and for how long as he been getting away with it ? That was my point. If he hadn't been pulled in on the car number registration recognition over this case the police wouldn't have even investigated those cases. Did anyone know there was a voyeur in the university area tossing himself off in the street and breaking into house's to steal personal things? It should have been public knowledge but it wasn't.
Did they even begin to investigate them? Just hand out a crime number. Or was it the dna sample given on his initial arrest that solved those crimes?
I suspect he'd been offending before this. That student area is very transient and lots of young girls living in that area before 2017 will be long gone to new post grad lives but a few may well have had underwear go missing or more serious encounters that never got reported?
Isn't he already serving 8.5 years for other offences. This was in 2019? Sorry if this has already been posted.
He is, all of which came to light when he was dragged in as a suspect for this case. Therefore his offending must have been serious to warrant a sentence like that.
I could be wrong but think he was a suspect. As they investigated him things came to notice. He was charged with the offences and got 8.5 years which was a high sentence for first apparent crimes. Believe it was a holding ploy for the Libby case. Sure he was first pulled re his car been around all night and denying Libby was in his car?
There's no doubt he'll be convicted of rape because of alcohol and hypothermia she wasn't in a position to consent. I think murder is touch and go. The timings make things difficult. I think the pressure for a conviction may edge it.
Just because he didn’t restrain her, doesn’t mean he didn’t rape her. She was too drunk to consent to sex. He even admitted himself that she could barely walk and needed help with her seatbelt. He might not realise it, but he admitted to raping her.
In my book both would be crimes you'd get buried in sand with just your head sticking out next to a nest of fire ants.
After some googling, seemingly so. Hopefully they get the **** on that at least and he gets a life sentence!
