I found Jackie Brown quite disappointing the first time I saw it; probably because it was quite slow and lacked the snappy dialogue, Shakespearean swagger, and non linear narratives of his previous two efforts. I’ve seen it about 5 or 6 times now though, and it gets better every time. It’s actually a bit of a ****ing masterpiece in my opinion, a sentimental doomed love story wrapped up in a tangle of LA Noir plotlines
Other truth is that Luv managed to whinge about a picture of Selma Hayek ... unforgivable whatever the circumstances... there should have been sanctions ... where are the ****ing mods when you need them?
I've not seen a single one since Kill Bill 2. Just went off them completely. Having kids got in the way too Wouldn't mind seeing Once Upon a Time but that's about it. In order would be; Reservoir Dogs Kill Bill 1 Pulp Fiction Kill Bill 2 Jackie Brown haven't seen the rest ffs! What the **** happened to me?
"Mr Brown? sounds like Mr ****", which is the proper description of his 'acting' which ruins every movie he's involved in. I think he chose his character in PF just so he could say ****** on screen.
Different kinda vibe Scorsese n Tarantino id say the latter is more like a choose your own adventure book...I always enjoyed them. but sometimes you just want to watch a good ol thriller
I think I definitely would. If I told you my Mrs currently has the soundtrack to Joseph and his Coat of Many Colours playing in the kitchen it might give a clue why we don't watch this stuff together anymore!!
There are a few other great films he was involved in True Romance being my fave but the list is written and directed only.
