It also stopped us from getting into the First Division.

It doesn't matter if it's a rare occurrence, we need to be making sure it isn't even a viable factor, and with the chances we've wasted this season, it already should be.

It was goal average in use then. If it had been goal difference we were well behind 34 to their 40.
Though one more goal in a drawn game or a game where we lost by one goal would have seen us up on points. Good job there was no Internet then as someone who had missed a sitter would have been ripped to shreds.

There are places called Burton Constable and Constable Burton in Yorkshire. Is that unique?

    Depends on the player.

KLP miss at the death on Tuesday would've got a very different reaction on here if it had been Magennis, Scott or Eaves.

Klp misses that chance once in a blue moon, the others you mentioned miss chance after chance ( tad harsh on Scott ) that's the reason for the difference in reactions I'd say

Even Waggy and Keith Edwards missed the odd one. Nobody minds if you score more than you miss.

I would argue that none of them deserve the abuse that is actually aimed at them when they miss chance after chance.

I understand the fear factor going into these supposedly easy games. I thought after the Accrington at home and Portsmouth away performances that we finally looked the real deal and would pull away in the promotion race. The Accrington away thumping and the scrappy Swindon home win have now a got me feeling a bit uneasy.

I think Crowley will eventually force his way into the team and with Honeyman and Docherty's current form I still think we'll have enough - doesn't stop me having the same doubts as Quill though!

Does grant deserve the abuse you've laid at him over the months.... Although you have stopped.

    You've answered your own question.

Hasn't stopped abuse being aimed my way... not by you, of course.

Abuse full stop isn't right, but you've pretty much just said ( in a round about way ) it was ok for you dish out to grant, but now you've stopped it's not ok to do it to anyone.

Anyway let's not go down the rabbit hole and get back to the match, I think they will obviously set up defensively and try to frustrate us by keeping very compact. If we get an early goal then they will have to open up which will play into our hands. The longer the game stays 0-0 the move it runs in their favour imo

Tbh, he misses quite a few, and makes some poor choices. But he gives more to the team and poses a great threat than those others. And he's only going to get better.

Your right, his decision making is still not consistent, but that's just lack of experience, Bowen was the same in his first proper season and you can see it in wilks also. I think that lack of experience is way we won't convert more of the chances we create tbh! But as with Bowen, both klp and wilks will continue to make better decisions with experience

That anyone can even think that they know what Wilks will do is beyond me.. even Wilks doesn't know that...
