    Yes, I think so too.

It is obviously outside the law as to be laughable. I can't see it lasting more than a morning, and even that would be if the EFL were stupid enough, which is clearly possible, or even likely, to let it get to court anyway.

The only clubs who might have trouble complaining would be those who voted for it.

Pretty sure that some clubs in league one voted against it. They have a very strong case indeed.

All the Rugby clubs accepted the cap in Union, and the Saracens case was also a very complicated affair .

I also feel that they maybe wait to see if we go up, I'm sure if we don't KLD will start legal action to contest the salary cap.
As there would be any benefit in costing money to challenge it if we aren't in the league next season

The thing is it's the league 1 plodders that make up the majority of the division. The current make up has probably 4 or 5 max clubs with ambition and/or enough history at a higher level for it to be ridiculous to have the salary cap. Us, Portsmouth, Ipswich, Peterborough and possibly Oxford. That's it. The rest are basically small scale, they lack the resources, history and ambition to either make a sustainable go at it or to try and grow naturally over a longer term. The salary cap is their one way of levelling things off enough to give them a chance to compete, just like the old maximum wage did until it was scrapped in the late 50s. While this league is made up in the same way it is now w,ith clubs like Accrington, Wimbledon and Burton it'll carry on like this. And to be Frank, the EFL know this but don't care, I don't think the threat of a breakaway bothers them because probably at least 2 thirds of the 72 league clubs will side with the EFL out of self interest, including a few like Rotherham, Wycombe and Luton currently in the Championship.

Spot on there mate, which is why it needs to be challenged legally. I’m sure I read something where someone has come up with 30 reasons why it’s not legal and how to get around it so surely some decent lawyers would rip it apart.

It may be that the EFL etc have asked for a little more paperwork!

I wonder if KLD has ever wanted to buy more of the club ?
I mean, does he want Bodgit and Scarper involved or is it at their insistence ?
It would be nice if he could feck them off.

Yeah, sorry I should've mentioned that.

It was a big of a shrug and grin situation ...

... in all honesty it must be common knowledge, inside the club, otherwise he'd not risk saying that.
