Couple of days after the jab I had mild muscle twinges and a few hours of fatigue. I’m guessing that was my bodies response?
My brother (who’s 71) told me he had the shivers, hot and cold, etc the next day and spent it in bed. Says he’s ok now though.
Reference the first vaccine jab. I had it confirmed today. If you are given an information sheet, when receiving the first jab, that refers to the second jab being given 3 weeks later, ignore it. The government has instructed the NHS to allow a 12 week gap before giving the second one. There is no leeway to veer from this. Hopefully this means that stringent checks will be made on the efficacy of vaccines, such as Pfizer, after weeks 5/6/7 etc to ensure that the immunity is not weakened, as Pfizer themselves didn’t check for this. I think this is especially essential as this was the first vaccine given and as such it has been given to many of the most vulnerable age group. The AZ vaccine has been approved for the 12 week gap, so not a concern, as far as I am aware.
Quite interesting that as the very lovely Mrs Godders was just fine with no reactions and I ended up in bed for two days.
Really sorry to hear that. Tell them not to try to fight it because it can make things worse. Best just to let it burn itself out and then take things easy. Take care of yourselves.
Great to see England blistering ahead with the vaccines! Ireland like most of the EU lagging behind. Had to postpone the wedding in June but not the end of the world. My big fear like last summer is that most countries will be exiting lockdowns and we'll still have some of the most draconian lockdowns in Europe. I and most people have little faith in what is going on in the country at the moment
