We’ll have to wait until they’ve played their games in hand to find out. I don’t think City will lose tomorrow, but there’s always a possibility that they will because in recent history they have a habit of gifting teams near the bottom of the table three points. It’s not unfair to point that out, it’s a valid point and Grant McCann has even warned about complacency in his pre match interview.
And Grant McCann is entirely right to do so.We can't be complacent or approach games thinking we just turn up and grab 3 points. Games in hand very seldom pan out as forecast and my opinion is points in the bag are far more important. As for the season going forward, these games in hand on wet&windy Tues or Weds nights and the risk of injury and bookings/ sending offs due to mis-timed tackles....The pack in behind are welcome to them.
You've basically said the same as quill but just look at how different the delivery of almost the same message can be and how it comes across... The post I made to him yesterday was just some free friendly advice on how he constantly makes himself come across and his first post this morning just proved it yet again. The lad has made a rod for his own back with the reputation he's made for himself this season. It's like the players who almost always dive and go down easy in games.... The second they are fouled people presume it's a dive because of said players reputation. Or certain players get booked more often because of the reputation they create for themselves.
As a manager (which I am not) if offered a 4 nil win followed by three losses or four 1 nil wins I know which I will take. Quite honestly I wouldn’t be bothered if we won every game till the end of the season 1 nil. We all want exciting football and loads of goals but I just want to get out of this division and I don’t care how we do it.
Burton has nothing to do with the saying gone for a Burton. And no connection to either Richard Burton to actor or Richard Burton the exp, over, speaker of 29 languages and translator of the kama sutra and The Perfumed Garden. Or Beryl.
One nil to the Hull City has a decent ring to it. 46 games, 46 goals scored 0 conceded and 46 wins and the result is happiness to paraphrase Mr Micawber.
Half of these on here would be bored We scored 78 ?? goals in bruceys last season and all people wanted was more attack!!and to be entertained
The lack of faith, fear and trepidation represents the usual match atmosphere. Sing when we’re winning club remember... Allams OUT
Think I read they have nine new signings brought in January transfer window ready to make their debuts so if true it’s difficult to predict. Should still have enough to beat these however I would have thought Sheffield Utd v Man Utd result, Brighton/ Liverpool just show you can take nothing for granted. They are fighting to stay up so we will have to be right up for this one to get that winning result.
Of course it's possible that goal difference will be the deciding factor between automatic promotion and the playoffs, but let's not get hung up on it. The last time it happened in the third tier? 1990/91.
