Judging by the post race interview he couldn't be less interested if he tried. The lad needs to get a grip in the closed season and accept he is now riding shotgun to Jenson and isn't the best driver on the grid. Once he accepts where he is we will see the best from him again, like in 2008/2009.

I think Seb, Jenson, Alonso and him are the cream of the crop at the moment but Hamilton needs to be more consistent to be able to get the best from the car. He is a little like Jenson was during his early Honda days. Needs to concentrate on work a bit more than the social side of F1.

Hamilton is by far the faster driver, the only way they can stop him, is to crash into him!

He was frustrated doesn't mean he is not interested. He needs more support. The likes of Webber, Vettel and Button have their fathers whereas Lewis has nobody there to cheer him on.

In fairness there was at least a pause between the race and the first thread ;)

If Lewis pays for the flight, hotel expenses and a vip pass ill cheer him on lol

On a seperate note I think Martins comments were interesting as to why Lewis lost all his pace post puncture.

"Lewis had a more difficult afternoon. We weren’t immediately aware that Lewis appeared to suffer a slow puncture to the right-rear in the first stint. That created a growing pressure differential across the rear axle, and potentially led us to add too much front wing to compensate for the lack of balance at the rear. In hindsight, that may have led to Lewis fighting to find a satisfactory balance for the next two stints as we attempted to restore the set-up he’d enjoyed during the previous two days. It was a challenging afternoon for Lewis, but he never gave up, kept pushing and scored some strong points for the team. He had the pace this weekend, so I’m sure he’ll be as tough as ever in Korea next weekend"

We will see what he can do next weekend, but I still believe Jenson finishing ahead of him in the championship would be the best thing to happen to him since winning the title because it would force him to reflect and change various things in his life that have led to problems this year.

    Yep, hahahahaha :)
This race proved that he needs to calm down and re-think his future, the same situation in Suzuka as Spa... remember the Kobayashi incident?
It is like he is forgetting how to drive.

I didn't see anyone crash into him to stop him, what I saw was Hamilton ruin his own qualifying, then ruin his tyres, then hit Massa the same way he hit Kamui i spa. I think he needs to go to specsavers.

    Really Miggins?

I saw Lewis get a puncture then have an incident with a car trying to go around the outside of him, nothing like with Kumi, you weren't watching a rerun of an older race were you ;-)

Lewis is a very fast driver but he has been quite careless this year and hasnt seemed to know the edges of his car! Pretty much all his incidents have been people crashing into him! He did however make a couple of great overtakes in Japan which he deserves credit for!!

He just needs to stop chucking his toys out of his pram and get on with it. He certainly sounds disinterested during his interviews nowadays. Maybe Button's superiority has put his nose out of joint.

To be fair to the lad, he's not only suffering a dip in form... He just doesn't have luck on his side at present either.

I bet the season end can't come quick enough for him.

i think (for once) EJ made a valid point. Maybe Button has psyched Hamilton out, and he's still coming to terms with having to play second fiddle. He's been a number 1 driver his whole career, being number 2 must come as a shock to him.

I didn't say he thought of himself as a special one, and i don't think he's desparate either. What he needs is a sit down with either his management, his team or his dad, and talk about the season as a whole, analyse where it's gone wrong, and what he needs to work on, very much like a school report does. If he can learn from his errors, he can become a better driver. I've made it clear i don't like Hamilton, but i'm actually feeling sorry for the guy at the moment, it's a shame to see a top driver do poorly.

No point having any Lewis Hamilton thread, not here, not there, not anywhere, any criticism of lewis is HIGHLY CENSORED and this forum along with the rest make the beeb 606 moderation team appear very dali llama esque.

Only 20 odd here, not exactly MASSIVE is it and you all get along by agreeing not to slate any particular driver, how very...... clique.

Stop namby pambying to the ever so precious hamelots and start having a real debate like ADULTS ffs.

Bunch of big girls blouses the lot of ya.

As far as I could tell Hamilton did not turn up to the photo op with the rest of the team. Usually both drivers sit at the front in the middle, but Lewis was not there. He said what he would be expected to say with no conviction at his post race press interview and then disappeared. He is certainly the biggest bell end on the grid.
