TBH I feel teams are more willing to try and stop us rather than trying to play their own game. That they would rather take a 0-0 than to go for it and try to win, but end up getting beaten. In turn this means they can try and nick a win on the counter, but if that doesn't come off the very least they come away with is a draw. And we just don't a have a scooby what to do when teams hang back and let us play in front of them.
Feck sake lads... im all for dumping on the team in match... cause let's face it ... this is ****...and there's been quite a few matches of it this season. But are any of you really as surprised as you sound? The team is exhausted mentally and physically... you can throw them all the money in the world but. .. to put the effort of the last fews in, then win, then covid, squished fixtures then the specific players injured, resulting in other main players being bussed around the pitch like refugees... I'm genuinely surprised we are where we are. Think about it... City were ****ed last year... looking OK this year.... OK, not at the best we have seen from them... it really just isn't our year lads.
bit harsh on Brighton that mate. All we’ve had is possession. They’ve had far more attacking chances than we have. Can’t knock that at all.
don’t mind if they look like putting in some sort of effort. But getting 25 yards out then flinging a ball into the box for Brighton/West Brom/Burnley player to head it away. I can go do that for Liverpool and save them 80k a week.
Another great cross from Henderson from 45 yards out this time ... worked well the previous 67 times we did it so why not try again....
Not much to say right now tbh. Fair play Brighton, defended well, good on the attack and deserved the win. We were ****ing atrocious in everything apart from passing sidewards and crossing to the first man.
Well, suffice to say there goes the bloody title. Yet again, no ideas at all against a bottom side. It doesn't change.
This is just like City last year after their 3 year at the top and with injuries were nowhere near to winning the league.
Yep... and thats what I meant by fair enough to slag this kind of performance.. I just think in this day and age its very tough to retain the title any year... then add all the stuff I mentioned. Don't care what anyone says 3 out of your 14 b team players are ever actually required level over any real length of time... and there are key players that make it tough if they are missing. If it takes a bit of luck to keep your very best fit enough for most of a season to win a league... its fair enough to accept if you get bad luck having those same type of players missing and not be able to do it. We are expecting a shifted around team to compete with teams in a better situation than us... we are almost but not good enough this year... Its between City and United... if United can keep Fernandes on the pitch all season... which requires that bit of luck?
