we need to stamp our authority on this one,we need to win and send a message that we are not going to be a team that is going to roll over against a team from the so called top 4.we got spanked by the spuds and now we have the oppertunity to put the score straight.utd are bringing a better team this season than last season but i believe we still can get the 3 points that we need to kick start our season.NO it is not our cup final like alot of the manc supporters like to think it is.we have the players to get a win and lets make sure we do it in style.
lets hope saf plays de gea and give him a bluddy hard time.<ok>

They seem to be dipping in form and our form is improving. I see us taking all 3 points with the score 2-1.

    Thats the spirit.
Its up to Kenny to get the tactics spot on, pack the midfield, stick Gerrard and Lucas in front of the back four and let Downing,Kuyt, Adam and Suarez do whatever they like further up the pitch. Suarez is unmarkable, and once we are solid they won't have an answer. They key to our win is Lucas and Gerrard, they have to boss the midfield. Once they do that our offensive players will pick them off.

You talk so much **** man. Jesus ****ing christ.

Why doesnt Kenny do this **** every game, why do Liverpool need to suddenly up their game for United. ou do know United play at the same level no matter who its against dont you.

thats why we are champions and Liverpool will be preparing to play the game of their lives next saturday.

As for the game, we are unbeaten, we are scoring goals regardless of how we play. We are shaky at the back but deadly up top.

If your defence doesnt play its best game of the season then its going to get ripped apart.

the score will be 3-2 to one of us. To close to call.

The fulcrum of any side is the centre of the park, Kenny knows only too well that Man United have a piss-poor central midfield and he will exploit it by packing Liverpools and picking them off. Its nothing to do with ''the game of the season and game of their lives''. Its called nullifying the threat of the opposition, exploiting the glaring weakness. Thats what Barcelona did in the CL final.
You are scoring goals, but how many goals have you scored when the opposition has had a right go? 2 and and one of those was against WBA.
Nobody else has had a go, and Liverpool certainly will.
Before you say that for a team that won the league with a poor midfield. However if you look at how many teams in the top 6 away from home last season, that tells a different story. Last season you lost at Stamforf Bridge, the Emirates and Anfield and drew at Wastelands and WHL.
So being cock sure of a win next weekend is being premature, to be honest, If Man United manage to get a point, they should consider it a good away point to get. It will either be a draw or a Liverpool win.

Seriously though, why do teams up there game for United?

If they played at the same level ever week then maybe they would be the team that the rest upped their game for?

Pretty sure Spurs gave it a go first half.
    Chelsea also did
    Stoke certainly did
    Norwich definately.

I count 9 goals against teams who gave it a go.

Why, what was wrong with my post Ze? I was referring to KPR about why he seems to think Kenny will suddenly up the performance of the LFC side for the United game. My question to him is why not play at that level every week?

Surely hes robbing the fans of something?

Well you could say the same about every team from the lower leagues in the cups. They all put that extra bit in when they're playing a PL club. More motivation, I suppose.

Very few teams up their game against United, Most teams lie down in front of them, especially those managed by Fergusons rim-lickers. Liverpool will treat it like any other home game, they will go out with the sole intention of kicking the crap out of the opposition like they do in all their other home games. Its always been the Liverpool way. Tommy Docherty once said ''There is only two things you get at anfield, a cup of tea and a beating''
Man United will just get the beating.

Come on man, Liverpool are a huge club. they dont need to have that twinkle in their eyes when a big club turns up as they are one of those big clubs. Should maintain the same levels every game imo.

Except for the numerous home defeats you have suffered over the years. Including many many defeats to Man utd.

You totally contradicted yourself aswell. Liverpool were upping their game and now there playing the same way they do every home game.

I doubt it, we all know Liverpool put alot into this game. i just think they should play as they do against us every week.

It's a rivalry, so there will always be that bit of extra sparkle. The fans are always more excited about it than when either of us play Wigan or someone. It's one of those games that isn't a surprise result whoever wins, whereas in most games both teams are generally expected to win.
