... Jason Tindall, after 6 months.

Woodgate was brought in, as coach, when Jones went to the Mags ...

... surely they don't think he could do the job, if they do football really has gone mad.

Bournemouth have sacked manager Jason Tindall, who was in charge for just six months.

The decision was taken after Tuesday's 2-1 home defeat by Sheffield Wednesday, with the team sixth in the table.

Former Cherries player and assistant boss Tindall was appointed in August following the departure of Eddie Howe. Bournemouth, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, have lost four successive Championship matches and won just once in their past eight league games. They are eight points off the automatic promotion places and 13 behind leaders Norwich City.

"Recent performances and results have fallen well below the board's expectations," the club said.

You're surely right, although he could be made caretaker.

TBH, they'd have been better off keeping Jones.

Why let a manager stay for the January transfer window, and then sack him the second it’s over.

Madness, if you don’t want him you sack him before the window and give the new manager time and the opportunity to bring in players, like LJ has been given.

But then he'd have to manage Southampton to balance things out ...

... 'Err yes, the Southampton fans never gave me a chance because I'd managed Bournemouth'.

Well we know there’s a bit of animosity towards us from Pompey so, if he goes there first, then he can use that as his starting block, then move to Southampton and Bournemouth afterwards

but he hasn't managed Southampton or Portsmouth so he cannot make an excuse when he fails by saying "I cant Help it I managed [insert club name]"

Let him appoint Woodgate and sign players then sack him day after. Football is mad sometimes.

An example to Fans, (and Directors), everywhere who feel that the only answer to a run of poor results is to sack the Manager.

Bournmouth, a team that a few years ago was begging for small change at their gates, got lucky.
They ended up with the most successful Lower League Manager in the game and he got them promoted, from Lge 1 to The Prem.
He even managed to keep them in the top flight for five years.

That was kicking above your weight on a grand scale.

But in the current came reality comes along eventualy and they went down.
The most successful Manager they were ever likely to get was sacked.
Now, six months later, another on has gone.

    Slippery slope?

Who knows, but it might be one to watch out for.

I think you could be right there. I remember Charlton and Bolton being top half of the Prem and the fans started to get their knickers in a twist wanting more from Curbishley and Allardyce. Then they both fell away never to return, Bolton in a particularly bad position at the moment.
