He didn't give us a penalty on Saturday as VAR when the Villa defender pulled off the save of the season, and then sent Bednarek off last night despite Martial literally telling him he wasn't fouled.

I don't know about past history.

Completely agree the sending off was ludicrous but he was more or less told that's the letter of the law.

The off side was also incorrect but, again, VAR.

Yeah not blaming him for the offside but the above two incidents in the space of 3 days is a shambles.

... and he did go across to the monitor to look at 2 of the decisions (offside and second red) then still got them very wrong (assuming he saw exactly what we were seeing).

Seemed to me he went to the monitors with 'decided' outcomes already in his head and was just looking for anything to support that, rather than going across with an 'open mind'.

Martial was on his way down before any contact and dangles his trailing leg to ensure that Bednarek (who is trying to avoid just that) gets some contact. Obvious to anybody who has played the game (and possibly done it themselves <laugh>) ... Martial obviously got guilt pangs if he really did tell the buffoon there was no foul ... fair play to him because he was risking a yellow for simulation in doing so <cheers>

Easy to play fair when you are a few goals up.

He didn't go to monitor for offside as they never do.

... but it wasn't VAR ... VAR with it's lines actually showed a United boot / knee playing Adams onside ... Dean had the evidence to make the right calls ... he ignored that evidence.

It was VAR, as they rely completely on imperfect technology. Dean also had nothing to do with the offside.

My bad ... then the bloke with the VAR monitor got it wrong ... the ref (ex-ref) on the BT feed actually looked at the footage and said "that's onside".

I get the imperfect technology bit ... but are the lines put up on pur screens via the VAR guy or just the TV company? ... because the lines yesterday showed that Adams furthest line was still fractionally onside... and what happened to "clear and obvious error"? ... did the lino raise his flag? ... if he didn't...

The term we are looking for here on forth is ‘Saintsy’

when your team concedes 5 or more it’s called doing a Saintsy

I’ve already got my Twitter mates spreading the word like wildfire

watch out for the hashtag coming your way

    #Saintsy

    bro

how many 5’s do you see?

    once you’ve hit 5 you’ve gone Saintsy

4 goal beatings happen often but 5 goalers like 9 goalers are rare

We beat a team by 5 earlier in the season...guess who?

    Southampton <laugh>

Having watched Spurs the other night, I'm surprised you've scored 5 all season nevermind 5 in one match.

Alluding to the whole of the Southampton board being homophobic wasn't your greatest of moments. But to answer your question, the ban will not be lifted.
