The Greeks ****ed themselves over. Guess taking responsibility for bad decisions is something you frown upon.

Far from not being allowed to leave, they accepted the current usurious terms under threat of expulsion.

It's interesting that you now decide to cite Varoufakis, as when I raised some of his views on the workings of the EU a couple of years ago, he was roundly criticised by those in the safe space. I couldn't say if you were one of those or not, but I can't say I noticed you correcting them.

He's a bright, interesting bloke, with a lot of very inside experience isn't he. It looks as though I've managed to get some education in to you anyway, so perhaps you could educate some of those that criticised him. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I remember you mentioning Varoufakis before, yes. As I recall, I tried to have a conversation with you about him but it didn’t go well because you were only interested in trying to score points.

Have you read Adults in the Room? It’s a lot easier to read than I expected it to be, he tells a story very well, and explains complex economic ideas clearly and concisely.

I do hope you had your camera set to show your face as you typed that. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Fair play for confirming the safe space cadets didn't rate his inside knowledge though. <ok>

See, there you go again with the point scoring.

Do you know what Varoufakis is doing now btw?

Erm, you do realise your response was just a piss poor attempt at point scoring...don't you? Surely even you aren't that self deluded.

I was actually watching a video of his earlier, but I hadn't followed much of his activity for a while. Wasn't he setting up his own political party at one point?

He has an interesting take on it all. I'm not sure Sanders is a wise move, but I only really know the soundbites on him to be honest.

If he can get the right people on board, I reckon wherever he manages to get in to a position of influence, that place would do well.

    Correct.

All these tinpot countries are ****ing parasites and always will be. The "something for nothing" brigade.

And lefty loony woke snowflake gammons wonder why the EU made it so difficult for the UK to leave. Two reasons:-

    1. They were dreading the loss in revenue.
    2. To dissuade other member states from leaving. And this isn't going well at all <laugh>

The bureaucratic, arrogant, shambling, unelected EU are ****ting themselves.

Many from member states have said that a big loss due to the UK leaving, was our ability to temper the power of the influential few.

I forget the detail, but it was about how the vote balanced out in the subordinate meetings that pretty much set the die for the main conclusions.

There is a great relationship between Sweden and the UK and they were dreading the UK leaving.

Sweden's economy is in big trouble.

I did say a while back about Swexit, among quite a number of others.

Have you seen the latest exit polls for France?

Macaroni is in big trouble. Marine Le Pen is catching up extremely fast.

Even the Frogs are disgruntled with the EU <laugh>

I can't see them leaving just yet, but The Netherlands are another member state that tended to be in the same camp as the UK on issues. It looks like the factions will split to be either French or German orientated, along with fringe groups such as the Visegrad's.
