Are you Irish or do you self identify as European Mick ?

 

Ireland was funded for years and years by the EU, little wonder it is doing so well after the money that has been pumped into it.

Now that Ireland has finally become a net contributor to the EU (and with the absent money from the UK to the EU) you may very well find that wealth beginning to dwindle extremely fast.

Ireland and other tin pot countries will now have to start pulling their weight and paying (and quite right too).

And lets not forget the wonderful EU's treatment of Ireland regarding wanting to enforce the hard border without even informing Dublin or Norther Ireland first. That's how much the EU thinks of Ireland.

 

Just look at how they treated Greece , horrible arrogant bullies.

I guess you don't have much to shout about especially sports wise.

It's different for us proud English/British we even finish top 3 in the Olympics.

We had this before,in my lifetime I've never seen Newcastle win anything so I'm hardly a glory hunter.

 

A friend of mine went to Las Vegas from Manchester Airport. Her train from London-Manchester return was more expensive than her flight Manchester-Las Vegas return.

That was appalling actually. Not just the EU, but the ECB, the IMF and the French and German banks.

Interesting that despite their shabby treatment, there has never been any appetite in Greece to leave the EU. Almost as though they know the benefits of membership still outweigh the cost of leaving.

They should never have joined the Euro. Any country that had EU membership without signing up to the Euro, ought to be laughing right now...

 

Ireland is technically 'richer' per capita than the UK, yet median wages are lower and living costs higher

 

They weren't allowed to leave , there was no option to leave the Euro zone so they were held captive .

 

That's absolute nonsense.
