Ffs. I didn’t think I could get more angry / more depressed than I was on Saturday. You two, have just achieved @ChilcoSaint @st_brendy
“Let the Saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.” - Psalm 149. Yes, I’m desperate; we need a miracle. Fortunately they do happen, though they are by definition, quite rare.
For the first time in forever, I'm not looking forward to the game tonight. A combination of Mike Dean, Lee Mason, Man Utd , Old Trafford, Last Saturday, poor form and a threadbare squad all contributing to that feeling today. Hope saints can prove me wrong, but I doubt it.
I'm still too angry about var to watch it I think. Might feel different later but at the minute I'm not arsed in the slightest.
Seems like fun, can I join in? Dean and Mason’s only failing was to apply the ridiculous laws correctly when denying us a goal and a pen v Villa
Who wins the right back lottery tonight? My money is on Djenepo considering our lack of senior midfielders means surely we can't play JWP there.
Seems like an interesting strategy, loaning out various fringe players in the middle of an injury crisis We sure will be giving the kids an opportunity to shine
I don't see Ralph going for Ramsay. If we play JWP there then we will have to play two youth players in midfield. We need Redmond and Armstrong further forward and we have no options to change them or play them elsewhere because we have noone to play their position either (if Djenepo is RB). The only other option upfront if we need to change it is N'Lundulu. I expect we might see a full bench of unknowns tonight and if someone like Bertrand has to go off during the game then I genuinely have no idea what we do.
I reckon Ings or Adams as RB, with Armstrong and Redmond in the centre of defence. That way Bedders and Stephens can be our front two and we can defend from the front. McCarthy Adams Armstrong Redmond Ings JWP Bertie Djenepo Uknown Stephens Bedders Trust me. By 10pm you’ll be calling me a tactical genius.
A change of formation might be in order out of necessity. I can see us going 3-5-2. Bertrand becoming a 3rd CB, Djenepo and Redmond WB's, Armstrong, Prowsie and Jankewitz in the middle with Ings and Che up front.
I fear an absolute tonking tonight, and the meltdown to follow. But we shouldn't melt down on this one. It's the most free of free hits with our injury situation.
Yep we’re not expected to win, so as you say a free hit. Just hope we keep it respectable. The only good news is apparently Cavani is out.
