So, as Willock apparently qualifies as under 21 and therefore doesn’t take up a place in the 25 man squad are we going to “snap up” a free agent to complete the squad. Cue the usual ronny gill article. Or will one of the outcasts get a reprieve? Lazaar for left back lol?
Main midfield trio should be Hendrick, Wilcock and Hayden then? I still think Hendrick does all the boring **** well, we lose less with him in.
Hi guys, just thought I'd give you a bit of a profile update on Willock, in case many of you haven't seen him before. He's showed a lot of promise at times, and looked good in cup games/Europa League, but hasn't looked quite at the right level when he's played in the Prem. However, I think a contributing factor to that will be his lack of consistent minutes - it obviously never helps when you're constantly in and out of the team. He's best used as a box-to-box midfielder. He's energetic, works hard, recovers the ball well and does make late runs into the box, so definitely has an eye for goal. For some reason, Arteta tried utilising him as a #10 this season, which is a total waste of his natural abilities IMO. He's not suited to a role like that. And, for a tall guy, his aerial ability is lacking. Passing needs sharpening up a bit too, but he's not afraid to try ambitious passes either. Hopefully, with consistent game time, he can start to fulfil his potential properly. Hoping he does well for you
