might not be the virus tbf as she was old and frail but could be .It was more just she felt she had to move in as she was going there every day pre covid to be with him and feed him etc . She had already spent Christmas there and tbh i had expected that she would never come home . Wouldn't be surprised if Tom doesn't last much longer now .

A couple of difference lie in the density of living and it also being the summer in Australia. Obviously there are ways that Australia have performed better, but the climate will have a big affect.

The EU need to look at how they agree deals, the contract conditions were understandably pivoted in AZ’s favour, but the EU seem to be shooting from the hip with their agreements. Their biased interpretation of a document means absolutely nothing, and if they restrict a 3rd party contract illegally, especially if they haven’t taken instruction from their stakeholders, they’re gonna end up boiling in their own ****.

The problem is, EU needed to have contractual conditions in place for if production capacity was short, but they couldn’t, because a) There’s a pandemic and they’re desperate and agreed to whatever they were told would be best case and b) The contract they need to budge are a third party that the EU have done nothing but frustrate for the last 5 years, who were happy to **** the EU off clean.

No power, all ****ing mush, a disaster class in procurement since the pandemic began.

    Tough. ****.

That's good. I started to read it, then I scrolled down and saw the amount of words and thought fook that.

I'm still slightly cautious about it all, everything has been going too well with the vaccine. So I'm thinking, ok when's all this going to go wrong, sod's law.

could well as we don't really know yet how effective the AstraZeneva jab is and do any of them cut transmission rates* but while i've been highly unimpressed with the Govt , in the main , during this crisis on this i honestly think they have been very proactive and are to be congratulated on the rollout .

    * One glimmer of hope is hospital aquired covid infections have halved in last 3 weeks and it is possible some of that is due to the fact so many frontline staff have recd the jab .

I will admit that when the government started ordering all these different vaccines, I thought wtf! It seemed to me they were taking a very expensive gamble. Thankfully the gamble paid off.

they did more than that apparently as they worked on ensuring a supply chain was formed here for things like vial bottle production .
