It's the sort of name I used to make up for my Subbuteo team by closing my eyes and typing random letters on my mum's typewriter. Hirnfis Imfo, the Norwegian international winger was one example.
Given the number on here having trouble with Vokins, your help might be wasted. I think I will just refer to him as Johnny Furball.
On the good-names front, this guy scored four in a Dutch second division game today: https://www.whoscored.com/Players/349481/Show/Jizz-Hornkamp
Firpo would be an outstanding signing, not sure how much Barca have ruined him but was unbelievable a couple of years ago when at Betis
Can’t bring myself to read yesterday’s match thread, so I don’t know if the news on the injuries we picked up yesterday is bad or really bad, but you’d imagine there will be lots of opportunities for Maitland-Niles now, if he was worried about that. Theo looks to have done a hamstring, which will be a good 4 weeks, and looks like we’ll be short at CM. Jankewitz may even get the minutes he’s been after.
Not looking likely we will get anyone then, with all our injuries Man Utd are going to have a field day on Tuesday.
Although Leicester would no doubt be the player's choice, I imagine that Arsenal would only entertain it if it came with a healthy loan fee or an obligation to buy. Arsenal would be assisting a rival by sanctioning that move.
Ralph clearly never thought that Vokins and Valery were the answer to our lack of depth for the full-backs a long time ago and this has been an ongoing issue since he has been here. Why oh why we let Matty Targett go without replacing him is beyond me as he is showing that he is a good solid PL player. There is no excuse not to have 4 recognised full-backs in a PL squad, it is a basic requirement. Fannying about playing fill ins in both positions cost us at the start of last season and it is like deja vu right now. I just hope that we can get at least one player in that can operate on both sides otherwise this could be an issue until the season ends. We really shouldn't be scrambling about desperately to get someone in on loan on the last day.
I read that West Brom was his preferred choice over Saints due to the number of minutes he would play, Leicester are miles better than us so can’t see him being a regular there
Miles better ? - they have better strength in depth, but I`d back a fully fit Saints against them. Would Maitland Niles displace Bertrand or KWP ? If he wants to play in his preferred position, then WBA is best option for him I suspect. He`d be sure of plenty defending practice anyway!
