1-0 FT. Ridiculous team selection, awful performance and utterly pathetic form. We're done in the league this season and we'll struggle to do anything in the cups, either. Mourinho really doesn't look like he knows what he's doing right now. His old mates are up next, too.
What? We lost 1-0 away to the team that hadn't won at home all season? please log in to view this image
That was absolutely without a doubt one of the worst, if not THE worst, performance I've seen from Spurs for as long as I can remember. No plan, no strikers from the start, no clue in defence, and deservedly no points at the end. I know that there are issues at this club beyond simply the inconsistent performance of some players and Jose's management of the squad. That's been discussed enough. But I wouldn't be surprised if, even despite that, we don't see Jose managing this team again. I know he's got us to a cup final and may yet do more, and I know that not everything going wrong here is his fault. But this is an utter omnishambles, and the manager has to take a lot of the blame for the situation he currently has us in, just as he got plenty of praise when we were top of the league after the NLD. Whatever he's doing, it is a long, long way from good enough.
There is no point having a back up 'striker' who only gets on the pitch when Kane is injured. He won't either be good enough or sharp enough. Better to play Lucas who at least plays a decent amount.
Mourinho’s finished. Brought in loads of players to build a stronger squad in the summer, but they simply aren’t playing for him. The tactics are horrendous, and look amateur, quite frankly. - I genuinely don’t think they have faith in his style. Fans wanted Poch out for performances like this, so what’s the difference?
Poch was rightly sacked for selections and performances like this. There isn't a single redeeming feature in Mourinho's management right now. There's no point in delaying it any longer...he should be gone tonight.
He should go - but it won't happen if we ship half a dozen on Thursday maybe but the Carabao Cup Final on the horizon will probably keep him in the job unfortunately
The problem is that every game at the moment has us asking two questions before kickoff What formation are we playing? Why are we playing that formation?
I just wish that sacking managers wasn't the only thing a club could sack. My god there's so many players I'd happily throw in the bin and what's worse is of the 9 Jose has signed, only 2 have come good. So not only did we have dross to begin with but we've just stacked up on it for the most part. I've written the league off anyway, doubt we'll even get top six so truth be told I can't even be arsed to get too angry/ pissed off with today's result and performance. Just hope we can find a way to win the League Cup (lolz) and try for Europa too (double lolz). Long shots but I suppose I've gotta have a little bit of faith.
If Levy thinks that Mourinho's going to get a win in that game, Lewis needs to sack them both. We are desperate in every aspect of the game. There's nothing right and if Mourinho's still in charge, City will rightly rip us to bits. He has to go now.
