I would love to see us play more instinctively, with 1 touch passing, when we get near any opponents box, as that is when we look more likely to score. As the game went on, against Villa, and we were more desperate to score, we started to take more risks and moving the ball more quickly and looked like a team that would score. It would be good to see us do that from the beginning of Tuesday’s game and get away from the slower build ups that allow defences to settle into position.
It's underneath his match shirt! Two things, Old Trafford, and Manchester United, both media favourites. So if we do happen to be winning at 90 mins, then there'll be as much extra time as needed to get the right result. Media happy, much easier to celebrate their winning. But even if that does not happen and at the end of the match we have at least one more goal than them, then we need to be content with the fact, we didn't win, they lost. Wednesday's papers will analyse to the nth degree why that happened, and our only mention will be on the score line and perhaps who scored. Regrettably the lesser minions in the PL have to simply recognise it's never going to be any different, MU, MC Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, and of course Liverpool only need clubs like us to supply them with decent players and give them a stiffer match than when they are on the training ground. Occasionally we nick a win, but it's not you see, they lost. Sad but reality.
There are quit a few other "hoping" that I could wish on the man, but I believe in karma and I do not want a broken leg.
We can keep man utd out of this. We just need the back 4 to wear fake sumo wrestlers thighs and big foam fake hands. That way when their shots are going in they will deflect off the massive fake thigh onto the big foam hand and stay out. Job done.
It's simple enough. Everytime the ball hits of our players when Utd are in possession, we just pick up the ball. Because apparently that's allowed now.
I know we are usually last on MOTD but making us play every game late at night, in the dark is a bit of a give away. Free the Saints 11!
Just seen that the match after this one, away at Newcastle, is at 3pm on Saturday. What sort of crazy crackpot time is that to play a football match?
I know, crazy isn't it, messing with football history. A 3pm Saturday kick off about as rare as a team sheet with Salisu on it.
