He spent the first 25 minutes holding Coopers hand whilst Leicester ran through the middle of the pitch. It's his job to protect that area. It was empty and the reason we went 1-0 down. Even when he did step forward in to midfield he was made to look pedestrian too many times by Leicester players clever passing. He never got to grips defensively which is a huge part of his game. He lost him man on set pieces nearly everytime when defending. I agree that he used the ball well when he had it. Kalvin is our fulcrum player and he is not quite where he should be at the moment. Doesn't mean he is ****. Just that he can do alot better. Leicester will do that to other players, they are extremely clever.
oh that's a hard one , ill take the 5th amendment on that one one the grounds i may incriminate myself.
He’s busy counting up on appendages He’s just told me to tell you to fck off you’ll get nowt from him or words to that effect
What i also feel so Elated about is that, Bielsa's showing real signs of getting to grips with the pl, showing he can adapt to what might be required in certain matches, and that the stereo type gung ho type of approach, is not what is always needed. Believe you me he could take us to the next level.
I feel slightly better today, but can only walk about 20 yards without having any breathe to inhale / exhale. If I cough it feels like ive been stabbed. Constant oxygen and drugs being bed through drip.
“I feel slightly better today, but can only walk about 20 yards without having any breathe to inhale / exhale.” Sounds a lot like Shaks mate Meslier still scares me when he flaps instead of catching. But wow he made some crucial saves again today. Cooper was at fault for their goal but he did put his body on the line for the team today again. Rodrigo does some damage in the middle that goes unseen Raphinah is a baller and hope hes around for Everton Alioski will be signing another contract but I only want to see him on the bench. Ayling isnt back to being Ayling yet at RB but hes getting there. Struijk always does a job at CB and right back to the first match of the season against Liverpool when he played LCB he is going to be an asset because he can play left or right side Phillips was pretty good today but they changed set up in the second half to take Phillips out of the game. It worked and lets face it they won the second half except for us scoring. They then battered us and we took the brilliant breakaway goal to break their hearts. Harrison played well again Bamford was awesome and lets be frank here, how many of us thought we would ever say that last season. He has been the player that has made our season be so fantastic We are safe now. Yes big statement but we only need around 3 points if the last few seasons are anything to go by and Villa actually stayed up on goal difference with 32 points last season. 29 points from 20 games will have shut up twats like everone at Talk Sport, Agbonlahor, Mersin, Carney..
Agreed but I didn’t want to be accused of favouring him. Against Newcastle the pundits all agreed we’d missed Philips and they agreed his link up play is vital for how we play. I came on here and he was getting a slight bashing, guess it’s how we watch the game. First half today the commentators were drooling at our off the ball movement and they even said it’s not something the TV cameras will pick up
No from me, it’s still about avoiding relegation, our injuries are at a critical level now, one knock to Bamford and we could be relying on Roberts. Add to that the disregard we show to cup competitions and how Bielsa uses preseason and between game time and it’s a distraction we don’t need just yet.
