Didn’t watch the game yesterday as was at work but read the snippets on here and was a bit mad that we let it slip again late on against the fat slobs team, reading it sounded like we they were the better team. Now the day after and I’ve calmed down a bit and read some more my thoughts are that even though we need to win we never got beat, how long we can go on drawing games is another question though and it needs to stop. Just had a look at the table and I still believe we can make top two but it’ll be hard, donny are on a good run and have 3 games in hand and are only 3 points behind top so we need a home win against these. We seem to be the only team at the top that hasn’t put some kind of run together and if we can then this is the best time to do it, new fast players in and hopefully the new cf if signed can get some goals.

Just seen the highlights. If we can't defend the most basic form of attacking in football we'll get nowhere near promotion. Defense and keeper, fannies the lot of them.

Not a chance we are going up this season. We are utterly pathetic at home.

The positive is that you could see how angry Johnson was.

None of this 'the lads gave me everything but ... 'excuse excuse excuse' as we used to get with Parkinson.

I still have no faith in the full backs as defenders and don't think they have the energy to keep going up and down the lines. If we had a more dynamic midfield they would be OK imo.

The defence was poor yesterday. I'm not sure if it's the defence making the keeper nervous or vice versa.

    Without Wright it looks shaky.

Not sure LJ goes without criticism... the sports pages/forums had been talking up long throw ins and balls into the area for a few days before the game. So what was our plan?

Our keeper was unlikely to change.. ie he is the proverbial daffodil only comes out in spring.

Our back 4 are generally good imho, but I thought Sanderson is good in the air as a CB, but not selected as a starter. Neither was 09 another good header of the ball. At one point yesterday I saw Scowen trying to out jump their big CF in our own area. We could have worked harder not to give opportunities for free kicks and throw ins.

Although mainly yesterday we were seemingly not up for the fight, and were bullied somewhat. LJ can criticise that. Power, Leads etc are supposed to be leaders.. yesterday they were not!

I think Willis is a better player than Bailey-Wright but I believe Bailey Wright is better at coping with physical forwards. Ie more combatitive

Wright was a huge miss, maybe if Conner Mc, or Feeney had been available we might have coped, but Dion in a back three would have been my go too, I said this not in hindsight but wrote about it last week as a possible solution , I am not going to knock the keeper too much but I would like to have another look at Patterson, maybe in the cup game as our number two is also a bit shaky, as is the back four without the pairing of Willis and Wright who are imo greater than the sum of their parts, if you get my drift..

We really need a captain, I've lost count of how many times I've thought that.

Even you have to admit we miss his leadership on the pitch surely?

Yeah their is tackling and then there is Cattermole.

I noticed that Kane went off at half-time after a knock on his ankles... subtle by bindippers.

Not at all, apart from his last season when he had finally reached his level, I saw little signs of leadership, just the opposite in fact, I saw a man fighting his own demons, each to his own Marcus.

Unfortunately I think Clatterhard was a victim of his own legend.. he often i reckon got booked cos he was Clatterhard.

Although tbf to refs, once Catts did a bad tackle and could/should have been booked. But the ref, fatherly said to him calm down son that was stupid..Catts said thanks ref. A couple of minutes later a player faster than Catts (most were tbf) went past him and Cutts chopped him down from behind. The ref booked him shaking his head as he did so, Catts said 'I can't help myself'

I felt the same and got pìssed to drown me sorrows rather than gerrin pìssed to celebrate, which is far more enjoyable :D

Looking at other results above us though we gained points on two teams and still in the hunt.
We're going to lose games and so are others.
Hopefully we can carry on improving and get into a position where we're in control of where we finish the season rather than relying on others results.

I never watched the game yesterday and some say we were second best, others say we were better 2nd half etc.
The main thing is we are creating more chances now and converting more.
And the old adage, making our own luck.
We have a decent defence too so it's still all to play for.
