I've been very clear on the subject. Saints lost mine and my son's season ticket money because I gave VAR a season to convince me but it was inaccurate, slowed the game down and ruined celebrating goals for no benefit whatsoever (unless it was a benefit to see goals disallowed for a player pointing where he wants the ball played). I'll not be back until it goes. Vin
That is why it is a great game. I respect your view. Two seconds of class creates a goal. Tonight I thought his overall game was a few notches down, but yes unlucky with the offside
Unfortunately tonight reaffirmed a few things; The rules & officials that govern are fcuking ass. As a side note, although a few refs are just crass, I’ll concede, all are under immense, intolerable pressure. When Lady Luck has taken a day off, there’s absolutely nothing you can do. And even if you try, it’s gonna bite your arse even harder; Romeu & Ings “goal” + injuries to Diallo & Theo. We have a threadbare squad for PL. We don’t have ANY £ to reinvest. If we want new purchases, Danny’s gone!
Where do we go from here. We sit in lower mid table, but we are far better than that. Bad luck and injuries, I seriously think we would be top six. But we are dropping. I am sure we are skint as most of teams our size must be. Biggest injury of the season was not Ings, bury Vesty. Not sure what to hope for anymore. I really thought we could of snuck top four until the Vesty injury.
Shame. VAR maybe be ****e, but I still watch it with my lad and home mum is a mile away as we bemoan the ref
I thought his game was down overall too... but without those two moments, we had even less.. If he’d scored or got the penalty awarded, he’d have played below his standard and got us a win or a draw.
Ward-Prowse and Ralph spoke well after tonight's game: calm and full of positivity which hopefully they can take into the next game instead of wallowing in self-pity. Gutted about tonight but happy with Saints performance. The corner will turn soon.
It would be a lot easier to look forward if we hadn't picked up three more injuries. Just as we were maybe starting the see some light at the end of the tunnel on that front. I can't recall us having an injury crisis like it. It would be nice to think that it leads to our board sanctioning a further arrival or two in the next 48 hours (on top of the one we are surely already getting - whoever he might be). But I think we all know the answer to that.
Indeed but it is better that the manager and players look forward rather than dwelling. It was super disappointing tonight but you can't throw in the towel. We will play worse than that and win - hopefully on Tuesday... What do you think the injury crisis can be attributed to? Hasenhuttl has eluded to the lack of sauna and cryo facilities increasing muscle injuries but it could also be our high press style.
This x 1000. We're gonna finish somewhere between 9th and 14th, which means absolutely nothing in grand scheme of things. But we do have a last 16 tie which is extremely winnable, and if we do we're two games from the final. No contest. **** the Premier League.
