Newcastle have played the most games but having the points in the bag is better than games in hand. 22 points leaves them probably only 4 wins from safety. I can't see anyone in the bottom 3 getting 35 points tbh but who knows. city next v the giant killers and then Arsenal playing utd. Its going to be interesting.
Was worried about Everton having games on us and potentially overtaking us if they got the points. Need not have worried. Not a very good team. Beaten at home by a Newcastle team with poor form after a run of 5 defeats when a win would have pushed them solidly in contention for top 4.

There is no doubt of his quality but Fernandes is also a little ****. Shortly after Cedric is booked for a raised arm in Fernandes face, and rightly so, Fernandes intentionally rakes his studs down Xhakas calf in the LB area. A free kick is given but Michael Oliver should be showing a yellow for that. Nasty.
Another one of those horrible ‘challenge’ where one player goes for the ball, other just backs into them mid air and tips them over landing awkwardly. Always goes a foul towards the player that actually causes the injury
