Scrappy .. but 3 points .. sometimes the result is more important then the performance and it gets us back on track .. not pretty but I'll take it

Teams that win leagues / get promoted know how to grind out 1-0 wins. That's what we have done today

Are you suggesting that we didn't deserve to win?

One goal scoring forward and we would be putting teams to bed. These lads do miss a few.

Even I’m starting to think we won’t get relegated though...

Think Today was more about not creating rather than bad finishing, final pass was absolutely dreadful

Unconvincing in the end. Given how poor our defence can be, defending a 1 goal lead for 92 minutes does nothing for your heart!

If they're nervy halfway through the season, **** knows what they'll be like at the business end...

    No.

I'm suggesting that promotion teams are consistently quality and have a few blips across the season. We put in too many average performances and more often than not this season we've picked up points because of the other team being **** as opposed to us being miles better.

You could argue that not playing your best and still winning is the sign of a good team, I'd argue it's the sign of a team that lacks the ability to perform at their best consistently.

It's not unpopular Steven,it's worthy of sensible debate.I agree about inconsistency but if we look at the teams below us there's no major difference and no one team that is sweeping all aside?

I very much think it's a case of this League in general being of poor/unreliable standard. At times we've looked pretty decent yet at other times we struggle.Swindon were never going to come and lie down today and that defeat today condemns them to bottom 3,would we,hypothetically, as a bottom 3 club do any less?

Another game where we refused to comfortably see out a game when given the chance and decided instead to give our opponents every chance to try and take points from us.

Agree. I''ll be pleasantly surprised if we make it in the automatics. Just said watching the second half, think we will be in the play off spots and blow it.

No, although we were in the bottom three last season and didn't do that <laugh>.

The standard is poor this season, which perhaps is why my expectation is so high of this team. We've seen a lot of performances like today's, if you play like this in the league above, you get tonked.

I’d say he needed to change formation there as they were pushing on and a better team may have scored. We didn’t look comfortable
We’d stopped playing football! Ok so grind it out and hold on, I’m fine with that. But to continue with the same formation was stupid and could have cost us dearly.
Put another fella in midfield and go 4-5-1
    It’s that simple
