Power shots are a cominbation of luck and skill, but they look better so I concentrate on them. Tash, have you joined the not 606 league? Might play some of you soon.
Why do you keep saying this. 3 at the back is meant to be a defensive tactic, similar to 5 at the back but with wingers as opposed to wingbacks. "Two years later, Italy's interpretation was a stage more defensive: a 3-4-1-2," from here
Yes, at times it's a good tactic, because my wingers can track back, but if a player catches me exposed, usually they get free runs on the wing, as i don't have fullbacks and I don't like pushing out with my CB's. I just position my players well, i don't need fullbacks.
That's the thing, if you're good in defence then you can survive with only 2 defenders to be honest. I think i might need to start using 3 at the back, it's the perfect attack/defence mixture and i need all the attack i can get (with ultra attacking on) cos i'm phenomenally ****e at scoring Edit: The only reason i posted before was cos it seemed like you were using the fact you were using a supposedly weak-in-defence tactic as a way of saying your opponent was ****
B4E is a great player, and we're probably very close in terms of ability. He just seems to think finesse shots are for noobs for some reason, so when he gets chances, he just smashes them. I got a good chance inside the box in each match and placed it past the keeper, and won 1-0 each time. I'm a good finisher usually, which is why i beat most players in general, as well as my ability to defend. The only hard thing witha 3-4-1-2 with Newcastle, is Willo is slow as ****. I didn't boost Willo to make him faster to suit my style of play. I was honest in my rating of him, like i was with all the players, and gave him like a 62 for sprint speed and a 58 for acceleration, so I've got to make sure i position my players well. He raped me on that side, because Willo is too slow for Kakuta.
I find finesse shots are impossible on this game! Unless you're in the box (and should easily put it past the keeper anyway) they go miles wide of the target! I would suggest using Santon instead of Willo. Santon has more pace so should be able to handle that side of things, and is decent enough in defence to at least slow down the attackers so someone else can come and help Alternatively, put Willo as the mid CB and he's less likely to get drawn out of position.
Aye, well it's easier if you're using good teams, but if you're using average teams like the Toon, it's very different to Fifa 11. You need to cut the angle down, as there isn't as much curve anymore. Try aiming only 10 degrees to the right or left of the keeper. It's difficult, but go on exhibition matches, go on Amateur so you can get by their defenses easily, and practice shooting against the keepers using finesse shots, and learn the angles better
Anyone else noticed Santon's a ****ing monster going forward on FIFA? I'm never dispossessed running with him.
The only reason finesse shots go in, is because the keepers don't know how to react to them, because, like on fifa 11, they don't move towards the ball and instead just dive on the spot. Because of this, they never get there and it's the easiest ****ing goal in the world. I call this nooby. I only smash them from a good move, not for the sake of it.
Actually, keepers don't know how to react full stop. Krul makes some awesome saves on Fifa, but quite a lot of the time, someone will strike a shot from outside the box across the ground, the ball will literally roll past him with little pace and he'll completely miss it. Keepers are ******ed. Some types of finesse shots are ******ed mate, but i don't just try and curl them like a twat from outside the box all the time, i mostly use them when I'm inside the box to place it, or if a ****ing arsehole runs at me with his keeper, i don't like relying on luck by simply pressing B, I've learned how to deal with arseholes that do that. If I'm like 25 yards out and his keeper is running at me, i curl it around and over him, or try and touch it past the keeper and finish in an empty net. It's really funny, because they get so pissed off because it works on most people, but 75% of the time i can just finesse it around his keeper, and he thinks i'm cheating or something.
Im going to start Fifa career mode again. I got off to a great start hammering Arsenal 6-0, but i don't know how on earth i managed to give away 6 pens in 2 games after that. I barely touched the player, it has to have been a glitch, because on 2 of the pens, i literally wasn't even touching the player, and the ref blew for a pen.
I thought that was quite funny but there might actually be a penalty problem/glitch. I was playing my mate before, he had a 30 yard shot that went wide and got a penalty, I wasnt even controlling a player in the box. (Still won 4-2 )
FIFA 12 has some problems - headers from opposition are way overpowered on World Class, Tackles in which you get the ball in the box usually turn out to be pens, I don't know how to do penalties(save and score) etc
Also when i touch the ball past keepers, 9 times out of 10 they bring me down in the box and 90% of the time i don't get a penalty and the keeper never gets sent off. I should have had like 6 pens on ranked matches alone from this happening. Keepers need to get sent off more. It pissed me off how people can just go flying in with their keeper and get away with it.
Players go down like a sack of **** in the box. I can't remember how many times I've conceded penalties on career mode because of this.
Played my mate before and we were all tied up at 1-1 brought a certain someone off the bench and he scored while falling on his arse in the fashion we've all come to know and love http://www.ea.com/uk/football/videos/ugc/97146048 Was going mental with the winner
