Agree Nacho, you have to give them credit. Their high press is unsettling us and we are missing Wright's organisation at the back. Johnson has his work cut out at half time to sort it out. We need a bit of keep ball just to settle us down.
These are a horrible team to play against, awful team and an awful manager. It's like watching the 80's Wimbledon. Loved it when Leds finished his penalty off, they thought they'd saved it the ****ing ****ers. Cmon Lads make let's win this game and send these home as sick as ****.

pretty much what i expected, sunderland fans boosted by the signings get a mediocre first half...did not expect the gills to roll over for us and to their credit have shown good attacking intent, not happy that they are winning a lot of 2nd balls round our area so hopefully something LJ will sort. need a couple of quick goals in front or we are looking at a 15 minute end of match nail biter (again).
Id go 3-5-2 and get Sanderson on their centre forward that is winning all the headers. Vokin left. Winchester in alongside Leadbitter and Scowen. McGeady as a 10 for 15 mins then gooch on for 30 in that position. We need more width in our own half to stop east crosses and McFad is really struggling. Need to cut out their threat then control the ball.
I'd take Diamond off now and put O'Nien on tbh. I'm sorry to say that but Diamond isn't tough enough for this game and he's also looking indecisive ... ... something you can never say about O'Nien. I'd put Gooch on for McGeady after 60 minutes as well. We can't let Gillingham have too much of the ball or they'll do us.
I would have been happy going in 1-1, as Gillingham won on points in the first half. 2-1 is a steal as they say! Best and worst of Mcgeady, brilliant first goal and played well for the penalty (well done Leads for getting the rebound). Defensively Mcgeady is, nearly everytime he tries to defend near our penalty are, being made to look stupid by their RW. The paradox of McGeady. Should the manger not just tell him to stay in their half? Another forward say O'Brien being told to cover the left back?
Tough 45 coming up, cool heads will see us home, its a big ask, it always was going to be against this lot especially with a mallable ref.
