He’ll go to whoever pays him the money he supposedly wants, which your man has said you can’t afford to pay. He’s 29 this summer and he’ll likely want a 4 yr deal. As good as he is, with his injury record, age and the contract size he’d be a big gamble imo.
yeh you know how it works...we’ve seen it before When you pop over if you could ask them how long Hassenhutl got left on his contract...that’d be great Fosse thanks
I agree ... but if you could keep him fit he's some player ... his movement and ability to get a shot away and on target is right up there. Actually fear for Saints if they do sell.
They should pay him the money and keep him, as they’ll not be able to replace him with an equivalent level striker. It’s really that simple.
Spurlock with the old Shanghai Shuffle double wind-up there; trying to get Fosse banned from the Saints board. Poor show.
Problem is they are likely worried on how giving him what he wants will affect the wage demands of the others ... but it certainly wouldn't be on a level of Ozil stupidity surely? We did it with Vardy (was a big factor in him not joining the Goons) back in 2016 and it was certainly well worth it ...
Always been greeted with warmth and respect (and good humour) on your board tbf ... do my wind ups on here, not the club boards
He’s only egging you on because he doesn’t want to be that bloke who makes a berk of himself on another club’s board. I think we’ve got him rattled. Eh @Spurlock ?
He’s on a reported £75-80k a week now, so he’s likely looking for somewhere between £120-150k I’d imagine. So another £3m a year and Saints likely keep him. The PL is worth £2.3m per place.
I think the amount is fine but rather the length which is causing the issue. There's many reports stating that the main sticking point is the size of the release clause in it. I'm fully resigned to him going. And Vestergaard. Then Ralph likely to follow when he's told that his budget to replace them is two bags of monster munch and a can of apple tango.
