I was in the Scouts but then joined the Sea Cadets

At fourteen years I was in the guard section with a mate and we used to walk home with Lee Enfield rifles and 18 inch bayonets

    Elf and safety tho

    Question:

What is the EU protocol for making decisions on behalf of its members?

Yesterday the EU invoked article 16, so I'm trying to understand, who made that decision, and with who's backing. Afterall the Republic of Ireland is a member of the EU.

Is this normal practice that someone will make a decision for the EU, on behalf of its members, without consulting them all first.

Thankfully the EU back pedalled within a few hours, but they still pressed the button initially, and I'd imagine places like Ireland and NI, will want to understand how that occured.

I think it's quite scary how someone, I don't know who on behalf of a peaceful bloc, can at the drop of a hat trigger what was seen by some as hostile action.

The EU went full on Donald Trump these last couple days. Threatening restricting the movement of vaccines to sick people? Scum move, imo.

Mentioned this at the start of the covid "problem" here but my aged next door neighbour moved into the nursing home where her husband had beem for prev 6 months just to make sure she could be with him .
Her daughter popped round today to say she had died on Wed , probably with Covid as she was showing symptoms , in her sleep . Ironically her husband is still going and the family think he realises what has happened but aren't sure .<rose>
