Hopefully you're correct as I'm no fan of teams keeping 10 behind the ball. Apparently it's a legitimate tactic and not just boring as ****
If Bruce watched our game in the week he should be tasking Saint Maxim to do a Harvey Barnes at every opportunity...
Don't think Bruce has ever watched a match he's not playing in or managing tbh. He often says things like "if you look at the other teams, they've gone through a bad patch too" but its blatantly obvious he's just googled their results before the interview.
The difference is, we have manager who’s capable of winning by both methods, as he knows the strengths and limitations of his squad. Much rather that than a manger wedded to a ‘philosophy’ who won’t change irrespective of the players available or the opposition. We had one of them in Martínez, the poundshop Pep.
Martinez was hated on by Kevin De Bruyne for that very thing in the last internationals tourney I recall.
Hes a ****ing clown, his sides can’t defend for ****. He gets away with it on the International stage as he’s not helping coach them every day of the week. He didn’t even practice defending set pieces when he was with us, as he reckoned the percentage of goals conceded from them, didn’t warrant the effort. Guess what? We ended up sieving goals from set pieces. I ****ing hated him for nearly 18 moths before he finally got shot in the face. A total fraud him.
We went from dynamic football under O'Leary to pretty triangles the Venables way..oh and Nick Barmby. That's why we were relegated **** all to do with having no money
The coaching staff at Belgium is an odd collection like Henry has proven he's an arrogant useless clown to high on his own farts and Martinez is mediocre at best, or as ****e as you say. Imagine how much they could win with a proper manager with proper staff.
