Rooney has a bit of a temper. We all know this. Many people are the same. its just who he is. Suarez is a calculated cheat, he chooses to do it. Neither are people you would trust with your gran though. Rooney would shag her and Suarez would cheat her out of something.
Happens every year mate. I didn't understand why so many pundits tipped us to struggle or be relegated this season as I knew the sort of quality we had in the squad. Maybe they just didn't. Krul's amazing form currently makes him one of the best goalies in the league at the moment I'd say. Coloccini is a rock solid defender and Steven Taylor has found form and started living up to his potential. Cabaye, Tiote and Ben Arfa is, in my opinion, one of the best midfield trios in the league, and we haven't even used Ben Arfa yet. And then there's Best and Ba, who have formed a threatening strike partnership. Our full backs and wingers are nothing special, but when there's that sort of backbone in the side, things can go very well. Some people and pundits can continue to underestimate us all they want though. Just makes it all the more sweeter to prove them wrong. I'm sure Lawro predicted that we'd have about 2 points after this many games, the muppet. I'd take Suarez mind. All day long. Imagine him and Ben Arfa up front.
I'll admit it... When Carroll left you for us in January and Nolan and Barton left, I thought Newcastle would struggle. You brought it some players who I felt needed some time to settle. You've proved me wrong by starting the season well and the players who I thought needed time to settle have played really well. Good luck for the rest of the season! (But not when we play you.)
Do you feel any differently about Lambias now that his methods seem to be working out? And how is Ben Arfa going to fit in to the team? Play him as a winger or break up the Best-Ba partnership?
Chappaz - what's the latest on the Cayabe injury? And I hear Ba is injured too, is this right? I ask mainly because they're both in my FF team Cheers mate
Maybe Pardew had a stroke of genius by bringing in a bunch of Frenchies who could all get settled in together a little quicker. I must admit though we've been lucky in how well the team has bonded and worked as a unit. Sunderland is an example of a 'new look' team which is still finding its feet after 7 games in. Same to you
According to Steven Taylor in an interview, Llambias has basically kept out of things this time round and just let Pardew and his team get on with the job. There were squabbles over bonuses last season, but this time round Llambias gave everyone their bonuses straight away and just let them get on with it. Apparently he even met up with some of the squad when they went out for a meal, congratulated them on the latest win and then paid for their meal and left. If he keeps that up and stops being such a greedy bastard in the transfer market, then that's great. Take a lot to win me round though because he's been a right prick over the past few years. As for Ben Arfa, Pardew wants him in the AM role, and I do think that's where we'll get the most out of him by far. It does mean breaking up the Ba/Best partnership, but I think Ben Arfa with either Ba or Best will get us more goals and give us an even stronger midfield. Cabaye got injured before the half time whistle, then played two minutes of the second half before he realised that he couldn't keep playing and had to come off. That alone, to me, insinuates that it isn't a serious injury. Perhaps just a knock. The French manager has also said that he doesn't know whether Cabaye will play in their next international game. Considering that the next game is the 11th of this month, people seem to be looking at very short term estimations, which is a good sign. On the other hand though, I've heard that it might be some ligament damage and there's also rumours that he could be out for 3 weeks, so who knows. As for Ba, it seems like he just picked up a knock, which is why he was subbed off for Lovenkrands against Wolves. No one at the club or media has really mentioned anything about it.
Suarez is a compulsive cheat. Sorry I know both their names are Luis so you are going to get them mixed up, but it was Luis Nani and not Luis Suarez that fell down injured and when the offender only got a yellow jumped straight back up and chased the referee around the pitch and then fell down and started to cry and kicked a medical attendant. So be careful who you call a cheat when you had the biggest cheat to grace the premiership Cristiano ''The winker'' Ronaldo aka Christine Ronaldo because he shaves his chest and his legs and wears more nail-polish and make-up than Golden-Brains.
More lies. Secondly well at least he make statements like this ''I'm an honest player, I don't deliberately fall over''. Only to ''fall over'' three days later. Or he never ''forgot'' to take a piss. Rio deliberately forgot because he was on the Jamaican woodbines and had to let them leave his system. Face it,Ferdinand is a bigger junkie than Jaap Stam, Mark Bosnich and Paul Merson.
If were not careful this is going to go the Gerrard / Rooney quotes then diving thread again- and bore everyone to death. You stated yourself earlier in the week all players do it.
I reckon you're right, theres been players on either side that have illegally gained an advantage. However they are only human, if it were us, we would also gain an advantage if there was a need to.
**** that... If I had the chance to take one for for the team and give my nation the possible chance to go through to the next round I would do the same. Also, I imagine the vast majority of players would do the same if they were in the same situation. Ghana missed the penalty, so that's down to them. There have been a million players that have done the same sort of thing during a match, and some have gone down as great players - Maradonna, Henry, to mention a couple. The fact Suarez is a Liverpool player is the only reason you're a making him out to be a cheat. Lets face it Utd have had their fair share in recent years, Ronaldo, Nani.... Being a 'cheat' is often part of the game (unfortunately) because of the such high stakes involved.
These are the same ones that were about to butcher the winker when he got Shrek sent off in the 2006 world cup and as soon as he took a tumble at OT he was the best thing since sliced bread. Thats hypocritical.
