I know there's a long way to go and we've only played 11 but will Buckle still be manager come May if things don't improve and we finish where we are now.

    I still think he will.

Probably, because the board have put all their eggs in one basket.
He has already spent more than the board had formally agreed; only by twisting Higgs's arm.
I don't think he has signed enough players who feel they have a commitment to Bristol Rovers.
If I was Campbell I'd be off to Exeter, because it's obvious Buckle is squeezing him out.

Totally agree, it looked like today that they weren't overly committed to The Gas, when Harrald came on at least he looked keen, feel sorry for Campbell though he's been a good servent for us down the years but
if thats the case and Buckle's trying to get rid of him he's better off moving on sounds like they don't get on very well anyways.

I'm sorry but I hope he's gone soon the guy's clueless leaves the best player on the bench and none of these players have any passion for playing for the gas except Campbell who always gives 100% all the time, I've seen nothing different from when Trolls was in charge, Wiz posted an interesting fact that Penny's record wasn't much different to what Buckles is so far and Penny was sacked, Buckle is a small fish in a big pond.

I honestly think we'll improve a lot. There have been a few flashes of someting very good happening here. The challenge will be to keep in touch with the top sides so that when we do finally get it together we haven't left it too late.

Buckle definitely nees to sort out a settled approch and a settled line up.

He has to sort the defence out quickly, we need to bring in at least two CB's on loan.

<ok> Agreed<, I didn't want him as manger anyway I wanted an older more experience manager in charge. Just sick to death of negative team selections and tatics and just dire performances after another.

The more I hear and see of Buckle the angrier I get.....though some of it might be rumour.
At the Supporters' Club AGM he was so full of himself. I don't think self doubt
figures on his radar. He sees himself as some sort of saviour of Bristol Rovers.
He 'doesn't make excuses' then reels them off. He says he respects Campbell
and then marginalises him....McGleish as captain today!
    I don't blame the board for appointing him....he had us all fooled......but I wouldn't
mind if he was told to go and tend his garden now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would like to say big respect to over 1500 Gasheads at Oxford today, absolutely ****ing awesome, reminds me of why I`m so proud to be a Gashead.

As for the topic, I can`t see Buckle getting the boot but if the one year contract is correct then the board may need to start looking for a good coach for next season with experience in non league football.

As our magnificent fans proved today we deserve so much more.

i wasnt keen on buckle when he joined. few signings were not fantastic either but then pre season started and we looked good. buckle was saying the right things as well. i then thought i made the wrong judgement on him. but in recent weeks he is losing me and after todays crap, im hanging on by a thread.

Can't help thinking that the boo boys should put a sock in it. Players who have borne the brunt at the Mem are thriving at other clubs - Akinde at Crawley,Hughes at Notts Co, Wright at Shrews.

Campbell's a player coach, so he's hardly going to be mde captain as well. Gill's an important player for us. Seeing the way a couple of the Oxford goals were scored after long runs it is more about defending from the front and the midfield protecting the back four than the centre backs.

With Buckle's record he can probably afford to be arrogant. I'm sure he'll get things spot on soon. We've got a much better squad than the last time we went down. Harrold's been carrying an injury, so it's not surprising he's been in and out of the side. But at least there area few other reasonable options.

We had a great win at Morecambe just three games ago, so it's definitely not time to push the panic button yet.

it just looks like every time the opposition attacks they score. but we need 5 attacks to score 1. we recently seen that we have more shots in games than any other team so technically we should be scoring more. but we aint taking out chances. i think if we took our chances then we may be able to defend better as confidence will breed.
take yesterday for example. we could of been 2-0 up if we took our chances. then i doubt we would of lost. but where we didnt score 1st we allowed oxford to stay in the game and take control as well.

every time we scored 1st we go on to win and when we concede 1st we lose. thats the problem.

Just listened to PB's remarks on the Saturdays performance and although I am not one of his greatest believers, he is still saying the right things. I think he has had time to reflect on his comments with ref the booing etc and realised that he was in the wrong. Now I know he ain't gonna come out with an apology but at least he has gone some way to address the problem with his remarks. As for his managing ability, we must all remember he is still very new to the game - 1 previous job at Torquay, and with all due respect to them Rovers are a step up. Every day is a learning curve! On Saturday I was all for calling for his head, but am willing to take a step back and hope he can sort it out. As for the game .... the "highlights" show CB not able to clear for the first goal! BA making his one monumentous c**k-up per game and for the third SB getting beat on the near post (a bit unfair I know!). Ryan Clark makes a great save early on and if that had gone in who knows what could have happened. One last remark - I noticed that the highlights for the second half were all from Oxford - not one attacking attempt from Rovers! Oh well - roll on Friday at the Mem - once a gashead - ALWAYS a gashead!
