Two of those aren’t even central strikers. Aguero’s been injured for **** knows how long. Haaland’s done nothing different to Kane just yet and Kane’s been doing it for a lot longer, he’s absolute mustard for his age though.
Turns out when your only two tactics are Kane playing in Son and Son playing in Kane that Son doesn’t do great without Kane. Mourinho’s fault rather than Son’s.
I think they're so obviously Tottenham's best assets that it's only natural that you would double down on it to try and get as many wins as possible, he knows that he has limited goodwill with the Spurs fans, he wasn't a popular appointment with some of the older fans. I honestly don't think even if they had a solid plan B they would have the top, top talent available to make it viable. They're so inconsistent. They need reinforcements.
At 1 down, to choose Lamela and Winks to come on at half-time was bizarre. Not saying any of Bale, Moura or Vinicius are perfect as if they were they’d be in the team but any of those would have made some sense.
What dya reckon Warburton woulda done in those circumstances? I reckon our boss would have **** himself and entered the fetal position.
All of us have said that on our board. It’s scary everyone could see it bar the bloke in the dugout. Choosing Winks and Lamela in most situations would be bizarre, that one was just criminal.
Winks should be constantly transferred between Bournemouth and Norwich and jokily the first name mentioned when discussing players “too good for the Championship but not good enough for the Prem” on lighthearted podcasts. I’ve thought about this a lot.
Mane would be a great solution to our Vardy 'succession' ... so I'd certainly class him as a central striker ... Neymar also plays as one for Brazil ... admittedly Kane is less mobile and closer to Levandowski in how he leads the line...
That’s an opinion of yours about someone who could potentially play like Vardy in your system. Ultimately Mane is a LW. As is Neymar, who still predominantly plays LW most of the time for Brazil. Those two would be in competition with one another in a world XI lineup, not with Kane, Lewandowski, Suarez and co who are primarily central strikers.
No 'potentially' about it ... we've not played with a 'big' target man for over 5 years ... I don't see Mane as a LW by any stretch ... Salah I'd class more as a wide man ... but it's all about opinions.
