they all work for me eaten with a paratha is still my favourite way of enjoying them not shop bought parathas...gotta be home made
chutney, nothing something you hear much about it's like a relish. so what is the perfect relish for dishes? does a burger really need ****ing tomato sauce?
Acar is common here as an accompaniment to most dishes but especially nasi goreng, martabak. They generally make it themselves though and keep it in big jars. If you want the recipe I will translate it for you.
Yes, me too. Never buy a ready made paratha, sacrilege! Love them stuffed with spicy potato. Lots of shops use Pataks bhuna paste as it saves them pepping a bunjarra. If I was in the UK I’d do the same as a bunjarra is a ball ache.
There used to be a family lived a few doors down. She used to make the Asian achar from nothing but strips of carrot and chillies. It was to fcking delicious. Spicy and moorish. I agree they go with any asian dish or as Spurly and Ginge have said with paratha. I'm a meat freak most times but one of the best things to have achar with is a lentil curry. Perfect combo imo.
I had three kilos of fresh green & red Thai chilli’s from my small garden here so what I couldn’t use I froze I kilo and made chilli pickle with ginger garlic and mustard seeds. One month later I got the urge to blitz one jar with oil& Kashmiri chilli powder with fried fenugreek seeds. Let’s just say this is not for ladies... my answer to Mr Naga chilli which I can’t get here.
appreciate the offer but I’m too lazy to make my own. you want me to send you a jar of the stuff bro? Save you time makin it
Actually I tell you what you guise could do put some nice Thai food recipes up...I prefer Thai to Chinese. Think it has more of a sauce and less of the gloop...I could be wrong, maybe I’m not familiar with the traditional home cooked stuff. Made Chiang Mai curried noodles once with raw pickled challots and crispy onion was bangin
Been there twice Elephant trecking and the usual stuff. Lovely place.. anyway, this is used to have with crab, or squid, but this is a chicken version http://rachelredlaw.com/recipes2/2018/1/27/gai-pad-pong-karee-chicken-curry-stir-fry
This looks a good recipe but would add a few peeled prawns in with the chicken. They also add sliced fish balls here but not sure you can get them there. If you can keep the egg a bit runny its great when it mixes with rice. Its actually a great Sunday breakfast dish. https://www.recipetineats.com/nasi-goreng-indonesian-fried-rice/
