Agreed. There were moments where you could see a glimpse of the old Bale. I think he needs a run of games, and would also start him tonight. His mere presence worries defenders in a way that Lucas and Stevie never will. They know they are always at risk of falling to one moment of magic. Even if it's his set piece ability which let's be honest pisses all over other options with the sole exception of Winks on his left foot, it gives them what to worry about. I'd also prefer Lucas/Stevie to come on and run at a tiring makeshift defence. I don't think they've done enough recently to warrant starting. So having said all that, I'm expecting a midfield of Winks, Hojbjerg and Sissoko with Lamela in the front 3
