Actually that Brexitcast program reminds me of the Coronavirus thread? I can't for the life of me work out why?
Papers all over Europe are moaning about the the EU's approach to the vaccine rollout. I heard last night that AstraZeneca were doing okay in the talks with Germany/France/Italy when the EU mafia decided to muscle in and take over and it has all gone to s22t. A 'cold shower for Europeans': EU press gives damning verdict of AstraZeneca row EU accused of failure on vaccine procurement by some European papers https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/20...-brexit-european-press-gives-damning-verdict/ EU vaccine delays prompt press frustration https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-55843426
Why are people still banging on about what the EU are doing or not doing. It's like they cant get past brexit! Get over it ffs
City of London chief: Brexit impact 'not at all catastrophic' as Square Mile will thrive without EU access Damian Shepherd please log in to view this image Catherine McGuinness is confident in London's ability to make up business elsewhere. (Getty Images) Brexit’s impact on London’s loss of financial business has not been catastrophic, the chief of the City of London Corporation said this morning. Catherine McGuinness, political leader of the Square Mile’s ruling body, insisted the City will thrive even if the European Union “irrationally” blocks access. London has endured business and job losses since the referendum as financial services were overlooked during divorce negotiations, cutting the City off from its biggest single customer. “It’s disappointing to lose business but it’s not at all catastrophic,” McGuinness said according to Reuters. “We are very confident in London’s basic strengths and that we will make up business elsewhere.” Read more: Exclusive: Sadiq Khan to bang the drum for City of London at World Economic Forum “No matter what happens, London will continue to thrive,” she added. McGuinness said that she did not want the government to light “a bonfire of regulations”, affirming that the city is not looking for a move away from international standards. London’s Brexit job losses to the EU are estimated to be around 7,500, much lower than investment consultant Oliver Wyman’s 2016 prediction of up to 75,000. The City dominates the world’s $6.6 trillion-a-day foreign exchange market and is the second biggest global centre for international banking after New York.
Only the EU could be threatening to take a vaccine manufacturer to court during a ****ing pandemic. They've completely ****ed things up and are now reverting to type.
And all the calm heads are saying exactly that. Who sends in auditors and wants courts and legal red tape now? They are acting like muppets and shooting themselves in the foot.
Could you imagine Ellers getting together an impartial post match analysis team for Qpr v Chelsea. He’d end up with John Terry, Roman Abromovich and Ken Bates.
This paints the EU in a very bad light; https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-55839885 I have spoken to a few people this week who have said they wouldn't have the vaccine, and one or two who would...but people are certainly not fighting over each other to get it. Either way, the fact the EU is trying to divert supplies from the UK is disgraceful. It seems to me, and credit to them for it, the UK got on and got the vaccination certified while the EU was still sorting out the paperwork, and now they are reaping the rewards.
