The Guardian Sport section has a piece on Nobby, today. He's playing for Hartlepool and trying for his coaching badges - and, in his spare time, he coaches Newcastle United's Under-11 squad.

He sounds as if he's happy: " I was with Hull last season but I wasn't playing, I got bored and gained weight. I'd decided I wanted to manage eventually and I also hoped to live in Newcastle so I spoke to Mick [Wadsworth]. He said: 'Join Hartlepool, I'll help you with your coaching badges and you enjoy yourself playing as much football as you want'.

    - And he's also playing his trumpet, too!

Cheers Nobby - good luck! <ok>

He seems a great guy, and he was a much better player for us than he was given credit for.

Good luck to him at hartlepool and with his coaching, did his best when he played for us and seems like a nice bloke off the pitch.
