Thing is I still think Bruce will front and Jones will coach behind the scenes. What will he interesting on match day is when the managers are in the dugouts. What’s going to happen then?
This is ****ing bang on the money. This chap is for all intents and purposes the one who’s going to be pulling the strings.
It's why I'm going to watch our next game, I want to see who's the manager here. Will Jones be standing directly next to Bruce, usually Agnew and the other fella sit at the back and watch, Bruce paces or stands so far forward. Wonder if Jones will be next to him Draaamaaa.
Again I agree with this. In fact. Maybe we should just actually all conclude mentally that Bruce is totally insignificant in all this. Just pretend he’s not there and that we have a new manager and SB is one of his coaches!
Would you have seen newcastle plsying like Swansea did under Martinez with carver? Would carver be working for the Belgium national team? We're all fully aware that Steve bruve agnew and clemmece have never been around or involved in a upto date training methods and this guy has. Imo 250k on a coach that can teach the players to play a bit is worth more than 100 million on players given to bruve
Robson, god love him, didn't use modern coaching methods. Bruce was successful as a coach while Robson was managing, Robson is probably one of the best man managers the game has ever seen, he set his squads up in a similar style everywhere he went and because of the man they worked their fingers to the bone for him. What a legend.
I've noted the Bournemouth fans react like this whenever someone leaves. "Player wasn't good enough anyway" "Eddie Howe is way past it, we need something new" "Lol, that coach is why we play five at the back" They sold all their best players, got relegated and gave the job to an inexperienced man. I mean, not even Newcastle do that when we go down, Hughton was given a good squad.
Remember when Boro went down with us, they sold players to mitigate the financial loss and then they blamed Gareth Southgate for their stalled season? While Chris Hughton was allowed to keep the majority of his players, signed one or two more on loan and we were unbeatable? Chris Hughton is now back in the Championship and Southgate is England manager. You can't judge a coach or a manager on %'s and gossip. Just my opinion.
However anyone thinks on it, we desperately, urgently needed something new. We all just have to pray it’s positive.
All I'm doing mate, trying to bleed a positive from this situation. He has my full 100% support because it's something fresh, a new face will always bring ideas and Bruce clearly - HATES IT.
