Water off a ducks my dear Silted Surfer ... indeed, happy to give @Tobes an advanced preview of what awaits him if our young guns should prevail at Goodiesson tonight ... it's only for a week after all
I’ve not accepted this wager mate, and given it was never originally proposed by either of us, I’m not falling for @PINKIE ’s attempt to stir fry some beef. I don’t fancy us to win tonight anyway btw, and I certainly won’t be betting on it.
What’s your prediction? I’d take a draw right now, would back up our results this month very well and keep the gap to yourselves but fearing the worst tbh
I’d take a draw tbh, we’ve played 2 or 3 games less than most of those above us and a point wouldn’t be a disaster.
Maybe we should just play out a draw as it’d suit both ha! Depends which side from us turns up. Last week vs Chelsea that took an early lead and controlled the game or the one at the weekend that panicked and conceded a scrappy set pieces early on. If we do that vs yourselves we certainly won’t be coming back to win comfortably 3-1. Can see the latter with set pieces being your main strength...
If Vardy was fully fit I'd have quite fancied us, given how we are playing currently. Without him gives us a bit of a conundrum ... albeit that the goals have kept going in without him so far. Expecting an interesting tactical exchange.
We’re without Doucoure through suspension tonight and Allan is still out, so we’ve not got a DM & will end up fielding a powder puff midfield of likely Davies, Gomes and Sigurdsson. I think there’ll be plenty of space for Tielemens and Maddison to exploit tbh, and no cover for the back 4 on the counter. Which I suspect won’t end well.
Could be a game to throw Holgate in to sit in front of back four and add some pace closing down space/shield back four
I’d not be surprised if he played Holgate at RB with Seamus on the right of a 4-4-1-1 with Sigurdsson playing off DCL.
