With Force India possibly not looking to take up their option on Di Resta, where could he end up?

They'd be nuts not to take Di Resta. Having said that, when you've got Sutil, Di Resta and Hulkenberg to choose from, it'd be difficult to tell any of them to get going.
I think if he headed to Renault or Williams, that'd be a dead end.

hard to say really. red bull have vettel and webber for next season. mclaren look to be keeping both button and hamilton. ferrari have alonso and i think perez is first in line for massa's seat. renault have kubica, petrov and senna to choose from. the rest of the teams would be a step backwards.

the only real possibility if he moves would be to replace schumi at mercedes.

I think he'll be at force india next year, he's done well enough for them. His main problem, as I see it, is his age. He's a couple of years older than the WDC, 5 years older than the other 2 rookies, 4 & 5 years older than Buemi & Alguersuari, older than Kobayashi, who must surely be in line for a drive in a top team above Di Resta. I can't see Mercedes dropping Schumacher, he isn't going to get in a Torro Rosso, so if FI do drop him (I'd be surprised tbh) his choices will be, Sauber (if Perez goes to Ferrari), Virgin, Lotus,Willaims or HRT (unless RBR use it for it's driver program next year). At the end of the day a step back is better than a step out.

Next year he'll be at Force India or Mercedes.

Force India is the more likely option.

He'll stay at Force India with Sutil going to Williams, Hulk would be a younger, better and cheaper driver to aquire than Sutil.

Sutil brings sponsors, and he's also beating Di Resta in the Championship and nearly beating him in qualifying as well. I agree that Hulkenburg is the better driver, but Sutil isn't doing a bad jod either.

I agree that its looking like Sutils boat has already sailed, he was looking good for big drives a few years ago, Ferrari was even mentioned but now he seems to have stagnated.

That said I'm pretty sure it'll be Sutil and di Resta at Force India next year.

But does Force India really need sponsors when the owner is a Billionaire. Have to take in consideration that Paul is a rookie and coming good now, same situation with Hulk, both under 26 unlike Sutil who is...28? And will be 29 at the start of next season.

Sutil is a foundation stone of Force India, he should stay there until they are a strong "force" on the grid.... sorry for the pun... :)

If Nico Hulkenburg can score a pole position and still be dropped for Pasta Bacon Double Cheeseburger Maldonado, Di Resta has got every reason to be worried about next season.

I think he will finish the season level with or ahead of Sutil though, and that should be enough to at least secure him a drive in one of the top ten teams. If there's any justice that team will be Force India.

Big teams will be after him soon enough. The driver line-up for the top four teams looks fairly set for now so I doubt Di Resta will move until next season.

Possibly Renault if Kubica isn't ready?

I reckon Renault would go for The Hulk if Kubica isn't ready.

Hulkenberg got beaten badly by an old man who is pretty much getting beat day-in day-out by a ****ty pay driver who can barely speak, let alone drive. Maldonado should have been ahead in the championship if it wasnt for LH.
Hulkenberg is majorly overrated and I doubt he would be beating Diresta in the championship this year if they were team mates. FI should keep what they have. If anyone moves to a better team, its Sutil.

The problem is Di Resta, Sutil and the Hulk all deserve to be on the grid

And Alonso got beat by some nobody called Tarso Marques in his rookie year, so did Alonso deserved to be dropped after his poor performance against him?

He was a test driver the next year, came back with Renault and the rest is in the history books, so you cant judge 1 rookie year to decide a future career.

They haven't confirmed Rosberg yet, and di Resta has close links with Mercedes so it is plausible. I think FI will retain their drivers, as will Mercedes.

The thing is, there is no testing anymore. This year would have been a hinderance to Hulkenberg, while 2002 was help to Alonso as there was testing back then.
