At a quick glance our next half a dozen games are nothing to be frightened about.

There's every chance, especially with our squad depth to get some momentum going.

Rest McGeady on Saturday, he looked way off tonight, but don't start making changes for the sake of it.

Great result. Wyke led the line very well tonight. He looks fit and happy. I'm having humble pie for supper. Another clean sheet but the defense make me nervy. Saying that I thought Power had a good hour but McFadzean looks like he could snap at any point.
Lack of creativity today. Still not sold on Embleton but like LJ's positive substitutions. Cracking 3 points and that was the most blatant red card you'll ever see. Whoever it was who thought it wasn't red reminds me of me arguing with the mrs. You know you're wrong but **** it, carry on anyway.

It was a horrendous "tackle" and well done the ref. In real time I thought it was just the usual "coming together" in a crap League One kick & rush game, but in slow motion it was vile. League One refs don't have slow motion or VAR so credit where credit is due. Also had a look on the Ipswich page and none of their fans contested the decision.

Except he didn't do the tackling, he had the ball, Wright made the tackle.

****ing he’ll man! Glad you don’t ref for anyone. Utterly clueless

their manager, all their fans, all the pundits watching and ex pros, a.l his teammates all knew it was a straight red. But because he “had the ball” (he didn’t, he’d overrun it) and Bailey Wright made a great tackle and got taken out with a potential leg breaker, it’s not a red card? Get a grip man

I got jealous watching the match today. Ipswich have some good young players and an athletic squad overall. The RM, Luke Thomas #27, is 21, on loan from Barnsley w/ a market value of $2.75 million. Flynn Downes, the player marking Scowen, #21, is also 21 and has been at Ipswich since he was 7 yrs. old. His market value is about a $1 million. It seems like we have a long way to go.

But we beat them? And played better than them? These “market values”!where are these from? What Is McGeadys? Or Wykes?

Wyke is a beast and well worth $330k. It wasn't really about today. Just looking at our old, unathletic squad wondering in what direction we are headed and how long 'til we get there.

Old? Not sure how you can say that. Only mcgeady and Leadbitter over 30. Willis is one of the fastest cb I’ve ever seen at the club. Wright is a beast. O’Nien is young and ultra fit. Wyke looks lean as hell. Very strange observation.

Delighted with the win. Disappointed that we huffed and puffed our way to victory against a very poor Ipswich side. We played too many long balls, completely missing out our midfield and not making use of the extra man that we had. Winchester needs more time but so far he doesn't look good enough. Power is not a right back.

Still can’t quite fathom how we aren’t in the top six, losing that Plymouth game was disastrous. We do have games in hand on a few teams but there’s others who have games in hand on us.

Hopefully there’s some comings and goings in the coming days.

Thought that the ref had a very good game, spot on with the red card, but that Drinan jumped in with his elbow on Wright. Hope he is okay, thought that Sanderson did brilliantly when he replaced him.

I'd like the following back four against Gillingham (if fit)

    Power Willis Wright Sanderson

I'd add in Hume generally looks athletic, Gooch has pace and generally a lot of energy, as does Diamond who is a bit raw atm. Throw in Neil and some of the under 23s who could make the grade.

Also, if the Ipswich lads are so good and athletic, why aren't they doing better? Market valuations mean very little unless you're consistently producing. It's not that long ago the Mags were rating Longstaff at £25 million +, would he have that valuation now? Highly unlikely!

I agree, the boy on loan from Liverpool was excellent too, they passed the ball around much better than we did, at times it looked like we were the team a man short. It was a clear sending off, and no doubt that gave us an advantage. LJ is certainly is a huge improvement on PP , who wouldn't be ? The pass of the night was the backheel that opened them up for the goal, Winchester ?, the goal was terrific and at odds with the rest of our play which was energetic but laboured and our passing at times abysmal. The introduction of AoB has transformed our forward line, if LJ can perform a similar stroke and come up with a balanced 4 man midfield behind those two, injuries permitting, we should go up, but it will be a close run thing, like most of our games in this league. to date. Watched the goal again this morning on SSN. Anyone else think that Wyke wouldn't even attempted to put himself in the position of scoring that goal around a month ago. I think LJ has worked a lot with him and got his confidence right up now

Hume, Neil, Diamond, Embleton and Kimpioka was on a great run for the U23s before his injury.

O’Nien, Willis, Gooch still at good ages. Plus the young keeper Patterson is highly rated.

We need to get them tied down to contracts mind

You can add Patterson, Younger and Curry into that top line as well for me, our future is bright imo.
Oops just seen your bottom line :emoticon-0100-smile
