I also see 24 points, may or may not happen.
Halfway through the season 3 more wins and a couple of draws and were safe which was, in my mind, the objective.
The bottom 3 look pretty doomed they just don't score, which we do( yes I know we let in a few aswell.
Let's enjoy the ride, it's going surprisingly smoothly.

Not so sure about Fulham. They're plugging away & have possibilities.

Palarse, Wolves & the Barcodes are slugging it out to replace them at the bottom.

Think Burnley will survive another season.

Us? Well, I can only hope that playing in the Europa next season won't bugger us up. :D

    Goo
Good points, Burnley have only scored 10 goals yet have 19 points,
At the start of the season I expected a gut wrenching rollercoaster, half way in and it feels like an afternoon stroll.
Also hopefully soon we won't be 'everyones second favourite team' if they want another team they can follow millwall.

Exactly half way through the season and we have averaged 1.36 points per game. If we do that for the rest of the season we will have 52 points, but importantly we really only need 3 more wins to have won our seasons final of staying up. 9 points should see us well safe and it could even mean that Alioski plays more in the Prem than he did in the Championship? Which means we havent been able to field our best team all season

We've been averaging 10 points every 8 games, so 4 points from the next 5 games to keep that average up.

That would give us 30 points from 24 games, leaving us 3 more wins from safety.

Be great to use the last few games to plan ahead and start preparing for next season.

Yeah and the last few seasons showed you only need 30 or 32 points to survive and Villa survived just with 32 last season. If we replicate second have of season with first we would have 52 points and last season that was good enough for 11th. I can see Bielsa signing a new contract as soon as we know we are safe

Looking at the rest of our fixtures and taking a neutral stance I've gone for us to end up on 47/48 points which is obviously enough to stay up...I didn't think Roberts was all that bad and I'm not a fan certainly no worse than lord bamf last night, as for llorente well I'm beginning to feel as though he is an extra in a film!

Shame re llorente. Had a baptism of fire v Chelsea but even though there were a few gaffe’s he had an assuring air about him and looked a player. From what little I’ve seen he gave me greater confidence than Koch. But until we can get the f*cker fit it’s impossible to make a judgement on him,

it’s a funny season. I don’t think the blunts have played much different to last year. Last year they had the rub and got in a winning mindset, this year the exact opposite. They’re in most games but just can’t score then give away soft goals. It’s an unforgiving league. But they have so few points they’re doomed, even if their form picks up.

West Brom were lucky to go up last year and haven’t improved. Unless miracle Sam can pull a few rabbits out and everyone else freefalls they look kippered too.

fulham I don’t think are a terrible side. They’re capable of good football in patches, I feel they could string a run together, though they’ve been plagued by a leaky defence.

Brighton are better than their league position, a good run from them is a distinct possibility. Burnley are Burnley and now performing to type. They will continue to pick up points.

palace carry a goal threat so can always pull a result out

wolves have been in a slide but look the best of the sides mentioned, it would be a surprise if they didn’t turn things round a bit.

of the sides above us, Southampton are out of form and could slide. Can’t see anyone else dropping down.

In short I feel anyone outside the blunts and West Brom could catch us if we go into freefall. The key is the number of sides below us. They’re not all going to hit a winning run. We’d have to capitulate really badly from here. Last night felt like a 6 pointer, and the relief was palpable!

Fulham play Brighton & WBA next two.

Win those and it's game on all round for the 3rd relegation spot...and that would include us.

Let’s be positive. If Brighton beat Fulham tonight Fulham stay 14 points behind us, that’s five wins they’ll need to catch up on us (without us winning another game) and they’ve only managed two all season. We’re looking okay so far <ok>
