    Cabaye ankle injury

Yohan Cabaye was injured in France's Euro Qualifier against Albania in Paris on Friday night, two minutes into the second half of his side's 3-0 victory.

L'equipe are describing the injury as possible ankle ligament damage but news on the extent of the injury and the length of time he will be sidelined is still awaited.

Once again, International games prove they're nothing but trouble. **** them. **** FIFA. **** everything to do with football apart from clubs. Internationals have always been NOTHING but trouble.

    He's fine man.

If he is injured though; Guthrie or Gosling (I'd lean towards Guthrie as he is more similar to Cabaye, whereas Gosling is more akin to Tiote), Ben Arfa isnt suited to that position at all IMO, and if he plays it should be as part of a midfield 5.

  7. Play 4-1-2-1-2 -

    ------Ba-----------Best--------

    -----------Ben Arfa------------

    Jonas-----------------Marveaux

    ------------Tiote--------------

    Santon---Colo--Taylor----Simpson

    -------------Krul---------------

We've lost our most creative option, we might as well go for it instead of settling for Gosling or Guthrie.

    ---Guthrie------Tiote-----Gosling
    Santon-Saylor--Willo--Colo-Raylor-Simpson
    ------------Krul----Harper------------

We'll get slaughtered with that line up - I would like to see Abeid (I know too soon) replacing Cabaye as I don't think 2 strikers and Ben Arfa would work that well. I think though Guthrie will come in as a like for like replacement and we'll stick to the same tactics. If it was me I would play Ben Arfa still just off Ba - I think the Spurs defence is a bit static and Ba and Ben Arfa would drag them all around the park

  11. I personally think we'd get slaughtered with Gosling in it. Guthrie is a good player but I'm sick of him getting injured after every time he players.

Je ne sais quoi sorry i didn't see your post. Apologies for the insult <ok>

We would get slaughtered with that, Tiote would be far too exposed trying to mark Modric, Parker and van der Vaart cutting inside. Ben Arfa doesnt track back enough. It's a far too attacking formation to play against a team of Spurs quality.

And Guthrie doesnt "get injured every time he plays". What a ridiculous thing to say. Guthrie for Cabaye if he is injured.

    Simpson - Saylor - Colo - Santon
    Abeid - Tiote
Marveaux - Ben Arfa - Jonas
    Ba

I'd like to see that <ok>

  16. I was of course exaggerating, don't cry ffs.

But he does get injured far too often. Guthrie would be my choice if we had to choose another CM, i think he's a great player, i actually like him, he's just got so much potential and every time he starts playing well he crocks.

It annoys me. I'm sick of getting my hopes up for him.

IIRC, last season his best game he played, he played with an injury, maybe someone should give him a knock <whistle>

    <wah>

Whenever he plays the reputation of the player he is covering means he never plays more than 5 or 6 games without losing his place to someone who is perceived as a better player (Nolan a classic example) even when playing well. If Nolan hadnt been such a good captain I doubt he'd have ever got into the side ahead of Guthrie.
