its not just the champions league refs they need to investigate, some of the refs we have had over the last few seasons have been a disgrace to football its about time something was done.

i doubt league one clubs can afford to match fix. the consequences if they were caught would put many clubs out of business

lol! Gotta love that comment Tewks.

Just been watching the Rugby isnt it sureal how the Ref has a chat with the Team Captain they come to an understanding (which we can all hear) and they get on with the game....

Surely SURELY the FA / FIFA / UEFA or even the WI are watching this and thinking its better than throwing pointless money and effort on their "Respect the Ref" campaign

Right about this, A4L - even the name of the campaign seems to imply that respect isn't there in the first place.

Having said that, respect has to be earned and precious few referees we've seen in the Blundersliga (and not a lot outside it) have been up to the job.

Also, rugby has fully embraced touchline technology and the game's benefitting from it - when I saw that little prawn from the FA saying last week that the technology pilot wouldn't be ready for next season, it made you want to scream - how long do these donkeys need?

Its almost as if the Footballing authorities dont want to introduce the ability for people to hear Refs, Goal line technology etc... because this'll mean its taking ideas from other Sports.

Surely in their eyes Football is the master Sport, the only one event each week to worry about (i.e. like a Chairman asking the dustbin man how to save his Company).

If so in my eyes that is Arrogance which is 100x worse that Respect
