Exactly. The takeover remains on the table. At no point has the PL said it has either passed or failed. That leaves just one option... pending approval or rejection (two outcomes but one option... pending...). This is all about getting the thumbs up.
Ambrose knows the club and the fans so speaks with experience. These other **** nuggets just spout off any old ****e to the camera cos they probably get paid in £50 notes for the soundbite.
I'm actually ordering a new glass fronted cans fridge this month for when I start drinking alcohol again. It's 30L bigger than the last beer fridge.
From what I heard the other night on a podcast, the takeover from the buyers point of view does not hinge on Newcastle being in the premier league, but it may effect the price, unless the agreement they signed leaves the price in concrete. If we go down, they would be able to purchase the club fairly easily.
It might be a blessing. Go down regroup. New manager, new set up, new players. Come back up stronger.
While I agree that's the best case scenario, I do have worries. First of all, the takeover might be a complete myth. Something is happening, we do have a lawyer on the job, all of this, but the details are simply not enough for people to know whats going on. Second, it's factually highly unlikely that Newcastle will achieve a third consecutive automatic promotion, I have serious doubts that if we go down and keep Ashley that we will see Newcastle United in the Premier League for atleast a few years. It's happened to Sunderland, why not us. We need to take the current situation very seriously and **** the takeover in my opinion, relying on the magical Sauds to burst in on flying carpets and save the day is simply damaging us. Steve has to be sacked and Eddie Howe needs to be hired tomorrow.
Ashley can **** off and die to be honest. Bollocks to what he wants - if he showed some respect and decency for our great institution he’d have sold it comfortably. But he’s **** on everything, so absolutely **** him.
He's one of the worst human beings you will find anywhere in the world... unless you walk into the boardroom at West Ham probably.
Forgive me but the takeover was always the #proposed takeover. What he's said doesn't prove that it's still proposed Just saying and for what's it's worth I believe it is still proposed
Saw I saw that “proposed” word in comments - it can be used in present tense or past tense so I think it’s a dead end. The word ‘claim’ though.... a fair, full and timely hearing of our claim .... sounds more like compo money than ‘complaint’ or ‘case’ would have. It’s over. I’m in the it’s over camp. And no Rafa. Bruce in the Coca Cola struggling to maintain 13th. Silence from Ashley. Journeymen signings. Sunderland getting promoted.
That's essentially what I'm saying.. You can't reach a conclusion based on that article and the word proposed. I'm convinced through all the evidence I've seeb that this takeover will go through and that the buyers are waiting on the arbitration result, but I accept others will reach the only other conclusion
