www.catoftheday.com Puss first appeared on this forum as 'Cat of the day' back in 2013 when she was Mary Jane and at that time on the forum we had a young ailurophilic moderator. Since arriving in Australia I have been a cat owner for 50 years and Puss will sadly be the last. My sister-in-law mentioned in the article is a Hull lass.
So sorry to hear Mrs BMB about your loss of Puss. I know how hard it is to lose our little four legged friends. I've had six little Rescue dogs in the past 20 years and five of them have now passed on. Lucky, my six year old terrier, will also be my last. I hope we can be together for my remaining years. God bless.
I lost a cat a few years ago that we’d had in our family for over 19 years and that was painful. I’m sure Puss had a great life and appreciated that you gave them a second chance and a great home by re-homing them from the RSPCA. RIP Puss
Condolences Mrs. BMB, whenever I’ve lost one of my dogs it breaks my heart so I feel your pain. RIP Puss
Condolences Mrs B, Cats and Dogs are really part of any family and it is a sad day when they pass on.
We've lost four of five cats over the years. The one we still have, Daisy is twenty years young now, she has dementia (she meows all the bloody time and she's missing a tail after a tree climbing accident ten years ago. It's really tough to lose a family member, Mrs BMB. RIP Puss x
My avatar has a picture of our rescue cat "Jack" who is now 10. He lost a front leg in a car accident 5 years ago but still gets about as if he has a full set.
I have had 5 rescue dogs, got 2 at the moment. All terrier cross breeds. One was 18 when he went, another 16, the other only 11. Loved them all.One day I might get my way and adopt an English bull terrier.
Lost my big ginger boy last year aged 19 and know how much that hurt .. they ARE part of the family so you have my deepest sympathies
Thanks Kemps. Making better than expected progress. Just rotational movements I’m struggling with. There’s still a bit of soreness in my hand and some numbness in my thumb and little finger. But it’s a huge improvement on where I was before Christmas. Private physio has made an enormous difference. Edit sorry for derailing a bit. Back on topic we took on two rescue cats last December. They had been found in Hull tied up in a carrier bag some people
There's a saying 'animals don't deserve humans' .. and in cases like that it couldn't be more true .. scum of the earth .. but I'm sure they'll be spoiled now they with you and your family .. good man
Why, the **** would anyone do that? I used to be a park keeper and a Hedgehog was battered to death with sticks, on my ****ing watch. I'll never get over that.
Some people indeed. Did you read where those thugs had terrified the dogs and staff in the Oakwood Rescue centre in Hull and caused a load of damage.? They specialise in rescue dogs from .Romania who have had a hard time. Think Filey got his dog from Oakwood though not necessarily the Hull one. Hate twats who cause harm to animals.
