The continued unrest in Bahrain is again hampering any chance on an F1 return in 2012. Team bosses are due to meet to discuss the problem sooner rather than later, with Horner giving a short statement.

The way things are its not really ethical for F1 to be going to a country where doctors are put in prison for treating wounded protesters and I hope the F1 teams do whats right for themselves, the sport, and more importantly the people of Bahrain.

I sincerely hope they do not return to Bahrain next year. I believe it would be totally unethical for Bernie to once again consider allowing F1 to become a political pawn.

He should postpone it indefinitely - hopefully forever! ;)

I completely agree with you, F1 should stay clear of Bahrain forever after what's happened there this past year. With it being such a rubbish track, what is there to miss?

Agreed. It's just a bit of tarmac draped on a sand dune and Tilke should have walked away after he designed it.

I don't see how they can possibly go to Bahrain after what has happened with the doctors being put on trial for treating people who the regime didn't like.

Then again, there will definitely be a race in Italy, and they put scientists who don't predict earth quakes on trial....

Bahrain needs to sort it's human rights issues before holding any sporting event, sporting events are not a priority given the problems they have.

Well, if I was a Bahraini rebel, I know which day I'd choose to kick up a ruckus. With a bit of luck they may get Bernie.

I've currently got a friend out in Bahrain, they stay shacked up where they are at weekends as there's a riot every weekend. Tear gas, batton rounds and Molotov cocktails everywhere. Now which part of the week in a Grand Prix on....
