need I spell it out..... the conversation was about National Anthems, not any song you have heard of that is linked with a nation. You might have well have suggested something like "Don't Cry For Me Argentina". Thats from a film too and linked with a country. I do agree that Men Of Harlech is a geat song though! I don't disagree at all!! I think a Wales team of the past, might have needed to avoid a France because of their flair & unpredictability!! Whilst needing an England, 'to get up for the game'!! But I think it doesn't matter anymore with this Welsh team...... Trouble is, in a perverse way, I'd want to face England, to see all the London base media dismiss us. Thing is, the way things are going at the moment. They'll all of a sudden become 'Welsh fans'!! Grrrrrr......
A failure to get past France/quarter finals will have the vultures out for Johnson et al.... the good thing is that will set them back for at least 1 year or 'rebuilding'. Wales will still get no media as it will still be about England and how they failed to progress. A France win by over 15 points today also means England lose maximum points in the IRB World rankings system, and makes the whole IRB ranking a little bit better reading for Wales.
Thing is musty as good as "Men of Harlech" is The Welsh like "Mae hen wlad fy nhadau" and thats all that matters, dont know if i'm right but most aussies might prefer "Waltzing Matilda" they seem to sing it with more passion and an anthem is all about passion and heart or as we say "HWYL" cheers and good luck in your 1/4 final
Musty, your a Scot by birth. How you can say our anthem sucks, when Scotland's "Flower of Scotland", which if you were honest, is not a patch on it, is beyond me. We don't put Scotland's anthem down... I won't go there on my opinion on it.....

It seems the majority of Scotland do not agree with you about Flower of Scotland though.... I quote Wiki....... I was thinking that I'd really like Wales to get to the final, with England looking beaten!! However, so many Welsh fans seem to have this enormous hatred (some may call it jealousy!!) for England, that I'm inclined to hope that Wales get stuffed!!!!
Also....I realise Wilkinson is in decline now, but the guy everyone goes on about being so much better, Flood, is having an absolute stinker!!
Your deluded if you think it's just Wales mate! You could swap Wales in that statement, for most countries in the World. Take it as a matter of respect and stop highlighting the reason why your country is disliked, by your typical English post.
